Sarah Paulson And Holland Taylor Show What Love Should Be About

American Horror Story’s Sarah Paulson has finally confirmed what people have suspected for some time — that she and actress Holland Taylor are a couple. What this has done, however, is shown people that romance and love can go hand in hand.

MoviePilot reports that Paulson confirmed she is involved with the legendary actress, and is quite happy, apparently.

“What I can say absolutely is that I am in love, and that person happens to be Holland Taylor,” Paulson admitted during a recent conversation with the New York Times.

The two have been together for roughly a year, and if their respective Twitter feeds are any indication, the duo are quite smitten with each other.

While some of their fans have noted the 32-year age difference might be a negative factor in their relationship, Paulson seems to feel quite the opposite. In fact, according to E! Online, Paulson told the New York Times that Taylor was “probably the most exquisitely beautiful woman I’d ever seen.”

Paulson has never kept her same-sex relationships under the radar. Not only was she hand-in-hand with Taylor at this year’s Critics’ Choice Awards, she also kissed ex-girlfriend Cherry Jones, 18 years her senior, at the 2005 Tony Awards ceremony. Paulson has said in the past that she feels a certain poignancy in dating someone who is quite a bit older.

“It puts a kind of sharp light mixed with a sort of diffused light on something,” she said, according to Miss Open. “I can’t say it any other way than there’s a poignancy to it, and a heightened sense of time and the value of time.”

Certainly, society as a whole could be more prudent with how they value the time they spend, but Paulson and Taylor seem to have a definite grasp on what’s important between them. Back in December 2015, when Paulson’s partner was still shrouded in secrecy, Paulson admitted that she felt the “most wonderful and extraordinary thing” had happened with this relationship. Now that the couple are a known item rather than a rumored one, it would seem that the masses continue to gush over their verbal or photographed displays of affection.

To Paulson’s comment that “If my life choices had to be predicated based on what was expected of me from a community on either side, that’s going to make me feel really straitjacketed, and I don’t want to feel that,” followed by her admission of love for Holland Taylor, MoviePilot writer Heather Snowden commented, “Aww, you guys!”

Paulson and Taylor first met when Paulson was dating actress Jones, and Paulson and Taylor reconnected a few years later, at first following each other on Twitter and then direct messaging each other. When they finally agreed to meet for dinner, the two began dating, and have been together for a little over a year.

While neither has offered much to the press in terms of a comment on their relationship, Paulson’s declaration of love for the talented Taylor seems a clear statement that she and Taylor are going beyond the confines of their admiration for each other on social media and doing what they have apparently done for some time: enjoyed each other’s companionship in the public view. And why not? Paulson has openly admitted that she has not dated someone her own age with any sort of seriousness, so if she and Taylor are happy — and that is exactly how it seems — bravo to them. With the divorce rate still resting at a high level, if two people have found each other and are happy, they need to embrace that.
