Is One Direction Star Harry Styles Missing Someone Or Searching For His Muse?

Harry Styles has done a disappearing act over the past few weeks. One Direction star Harry has been keeping a low profile on both sides of the Atlantic and provided a ton of speculation after he failed to join bandmates Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne at last week’s Brit Awards. As was reported by the Inquisitr, January saw Styles give One Direction fans something to smile about when he ditched Modest Management and HJPR amid rumors that Harry’s bandmates were to follow his lead. Other than that big news, Harry is currently being reported on more for what he doesn’t do than for what he does.

Back at the end of January, Metro reported that “Harry Styles is so lonely that he just wants chicken stew.” Apparently, Sir Robert Winston told a group of schoolchildren that Harry often pops round to his house for stew and a bit of company.

“Harry recognises that celebrity is completely pointless and that he really misses his family. [Styles] knows [it’s] all transparent.”

If Harry is lonely, it seems odd that he has not visited Liam or Louis when they were all in L.A. at the same time. Styles was also believed to be in London when the Brit Awards went out, and he didn’t join his pals there either.

Over the past few days, Styles has been giving his millions of fans a glimpse into his current mindset. Harry has been tweeting song lyrics that do seem to indicate that he is missing a special someone.

On February 27, Styles tweeted “you can shake an apple off an apple tree,” the opening line from Elvis Presley’s “Stuck On You.” It is interesting that Harry should pick that song, because its lyrics very much suggest someone missing a lover desperately as they are kept apart by circumstance.

“Once I catch ya and the kissin starts, A team of wild horses couldn’t tear us apart. Try to take a tiger from his daddy’s side, that’s how love is gonna keep us tied.”

Unreality TV reports that Harry was back on Twitter again yesterday, this time tweeting lyrics from Norah Jones’ song “Come Away With Me.” Styles tweeted “the yellow grass grows knee high.”

Again, the lyrics that Styles chose are perhaps telling, as once again they speak clearly of the desire to be with someone special.

“I want to walk with you on a cloudy day, in fields where the yellow grass grows knee-high so won’t you try to come, come away with me and we’ll kiss on a mountaintop. Come away with me and I’ll never stop loving you.”

Many of Harry’s fans have always believed that the 22-year-old singer is sending them cryptic messages through his enigmatic social media messages. Styles rarely sends straightforward messages, and when he does, Harry is usually thanking fans for their support. Otherwise, Harry likes to leave his fans guessing as to the meaning of his messages.

The lyrics of these songs do tend to suggest that Styles is feeling the pain of separation from someone he loves. Conversely, those same lyrics suggest that Styles is set for a reunion with that special someone, so you can bet Harry’s fans will be keeping a close eye on who he is spotted with in the coming weeks.

Of course, it has also been widely reported that Harry is working with the likes of Johnny McDaid of Snow Patrol, Gary Go, and Ariana Grande as he writes songs that may be destined for a solo album. It may be that Styles is listening to the likes of Elvis and Norah Jones as he searches for inspiration for new songs. All song writers need to search for their muse every now and then, and there is no reason to believe that Harry is any different.
