Madonna And Guy Ritchie Custody Battle: Judge Is Not Forcing Rocco Back To The States With Pop Singer

After a long and drawn out custody battle between Madonna and ex-husband Guy Ritchie for custody of their son Rocco, a judge had ruled that Rocco will stay in London with his father, and live a “normal” life with Ritchie, instead of traveling around the world with Madonna.

Rocco, who’s 15-years-old, has refused to return to the States after receiving freedom with father Guy Ritchie. Rocco has remained in London throughout the holidays, even though a judge had ordered him to return to the States until his living arrangements were figured out. Instead, Rocco refused and decided to stay with his father.

According to People magazine, Madonna and Guy Ritchie have chosen a school in London, where he’s currently enrolled in. A New York supreme court judge, Deborah Kaplan, said of the ruling: “We’re not forcing the child to leave school. His mother isn’t asking that.”

The judge is not ordering Rocco to return to the States, and Guy Ritchie’s attorney is arguing, “Rocco is of an age where he cannot be physically compelled to [get on a plane] back to New York.

That said, she did “encourage” the parents to keep this out of the limelight.

“I’m encouraging the parents to continue to resolve this matter in the best way possible for the child to take this tremendous pressure off their son,” the judge said.

Throughout this battle, it has been very public that Rocco is on the outs with his famous mother. Madonna has reached out to her son on Instagram with various posts trying to reconnect with him. Rocco has reportedly blocked Madonna on Instagram. In a post, she captioned a photo of a smiling Rocco that said, “I miss this boy so full of life so full of love. I hope we see that Leo Sun soon. The light is blinding!”

The Leo sun that Madonna referenced is Rocco’s astrological sign as he was born on August 11. Prior to that post, she captioned a shot of her carrying Rocco on her back as a toddler. She wrote, “Tu me manque” which means, “I miss you.”

In another posting Madonna said the following.

“It’s possible to be an entertainer and a good mother!!! Too bad we don’t live in a society where many encourage strong independent single working moms! The next great frontier!”

Although this is a temporary agreement that both Madonna and Guy have agreed on, Madonna’s lawyer alluded that this will not be permanent if they can help it. “He taught his son that obeying court orders… is not necessarily important. That is one of the most serious things that has happened in this court.”

As The Inquisitr reported, as of last week it was stated that Madonna and Rocco were trying to mend their ways. A source told Us Weekly the following.

“[Madge and Rocco] have been talking and are trying to mediate themselves. [Madonna] is trying to win him back. Rocco has been the one reaching out to Madonna.”

The reason the two butt heads is because Rocco wants freedom, which Ritchie gives him, and Madonna is a strict mother.

The source continued, “Guy is very relaxed, while Madonna is strict and regimented. She is saying things will be different.”

Do you think Rocco will return to the States with his mother if the temporary agreement is lifted by the courts?
