Ariana Grande’s Weight Loss Secrets: How The Singer Keeps Her Petite Frame

Some of Ariana Grande’s fans have been wondering how the powerhouse diva stays so petite. Now the singer has opening up about some of her weight loss secrets.

According to an article published on the Hollywood Life, Ariana Grande, 23, is sharing some of her secrets to losing weight — and keeping it off. The “Focus” singer spoke to the Mail Online about her diet and fitness plan. First, Grande was asked how she’s able to stay so petite and sweet these days.

“I have been a vegan for the last few years and it has been a great experience for me.”

Except for the time when she notoriously licked a donut, Ariana avoids eating anything made with or from animal products. Her meat-free, dairy-free, and egg-free diet lifestyle includes eating a plant-based diet that requires some meal planning and research when it comes to finding substitutes for protein-based foods and dairy products.

Grande revealed that her strict diet has made a positive impact on her whole lifestyle.

“I try and live a healthy lifestyle; eating right, exercise and sleep are all so important. I try and stay really active all the time. I like to hike when I can and being on stage is a great workout.”

Even though Ariana has expressed her outrage over her hectic and busy schedule in the past, she says that she “absolutely loves” what she does and tries to live in the moment.

“I have a great team around me to help me and surrounding myself with family and friends helps too.”

Back in early February, Ariana Grande’s trainer, Harley Pasternak, revealed her full exercise and diet plan to OK! Magazine. He suggests the three following exercises that Ariana does on the road that her fans can do anywhere — even on vacation!

  1. Reverse Lunge— Feet are shoulder-width apart. Step back with one knee and drop one knee down and then return back to the initial position. And alternate.
  2. Pike Plank— So down in the pushup/plank position and look down at your laces and as you do that, your hips come up and contract your abs. And then back down to a flat position.
  3. Superman— Lying face down, arms extended and legs extended, lift your thighs and chest off the ground and back down and up-and-down, up-and-down.

He added that he likes to give Ari “one exercise a day each day” so that “maybe one of those would be its own day.” He also suggests that fans should do “five sets of 30 reps” of each exercise.

For additional weight loss tips, Pasternak suggests incorporating healthy habits such as walking and taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Make sure to get “10,000 steps a day” and “stay hydrated.” It would probably help to use a fitness tracker, like FitBit. But if you have an office job or a busy schedule like Grande, he suggests drinking “at least one smoothie a day” because “it simplifies life when you are busy.” And try some healthy snacks like “almonds or roasted beans” that are tasty but will keep you on track of your fitness goals.

When Ariana Grande wasn’t just offering her fitness and diet tips with the Mail Online, she also talked about her new 20-piece collection with Lipsy, which was rumored to have sold out, but is still available to buy. The line includes pieces like floral dresses, short prom dresses, black lace dresses, white bandaged-style dresses, skater skirts with matching crop tops, cat ear headbands, and heart-shaped jewelry — all of which perfectly reflect Ariana’s flirty style.

“I will be so honored when I see anyone wearing the collection, I can’t even think about anything else.”

Earlier this week, Ariana Grande launched her new website, Dangerous Woman, to promote the title track of her upcoming third studio album, Dangerous Woman. On Tuesday, March 1, Grande revealed in an audio message that she will be performing “Dangerous Woman” and “Be Alright” on Saturday Night Live on March 12, which she announced she will also be hosting.

The singer also gave fans a taste of her new single in another audio file that appeared on her website. In the clip, Ariana is heard singing the song a capella style.
