‘Arrow’ Season 4 Spoilers — Leaked Felicity And Oliver Wedding Photo May Not Mean What Fans Want It To Mean

If you believe Arrow’s showrunner, Marc Guggenheim, and the Green Arrow himself, Stephen Amell, who both simultaneously posted images of Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak getting married, then you might have given your hopes up.

While the picture does show Oliver dressed in a devilishly handsome tuxedo exchanging vows with Felicity, who’s wearing a wedding dress as good as anybody, it doesn’t make the flash-forward scene any clearer. In fact, it does the exact opposite, reports Entertainment Weekly. And if you heed the words of actress Emily Bett Rickards, then you have much doubt about the assumed upcoming wedding.

During the flash-forward scene at the grave, Felicity is seen not wearing a wedding ring, a clear indication that Oliver and Felicity’s break-up sticks. A break-up that was caused by Felicity finally learning about Oliver’s secret son, William. The discovery seemed to break Felicity’s heart, or, at least, the realization that Oliver does not trust her does.

In a recent phone conversation with E! News, Rickards gave fans an inside peek about how her character feels about learning Oliver’s secret.

“I think she we see her sort of play with what was his perspective on keeping it a secret, and her immediate response I think is what we saw in the crossover timeline. Obviously, they’re dealing with Darhk and they’re not in a farmhouse somewhere and things are different, and she takes her time to sort of figure it out and what happened between them so that he didn’t tell her. I don’t think we’ll be surprised [by her reaction]. I feel like we all know Felicity’s heart quite well, and we’d really want her to do what she’s feeling instinctually, so hopefully she does that.”

The conversation also touched on the hot subject of how much Felicity is willing to put up with when it comes to Oliver on Arrow.

“I think that’s sort of my point within their relationship this season—like how much is she willing to give up all of the time?… How much leeway and how many more bruises can you take until the injury actually reveals itself, or heals? Maybe this is her last bruise that she can take from this, as much as she loves him.”

Rickards was also asked about future wedding plans, but she remained secretive, saying that William’s kidnapping will put a damper of future plans, adding that, “we’re coming to the end of the season, guys. I don’t know how much you’re hoping for.”

Of course, in the caption of the wedding photo, Marc Guggenheim promised that it wasn’t a dream sequence, hallucination, nor an alternate reality. But it does seem that the last thing on anybody’s mind, especially Felicity’s, is a wedding, states Bustle. Add the flashback scene from The Flash, and it makes it awfully hard to picture a wedding taking place, a real one that is.

“We saw how she reacted to her finding out about his son in an alternate timeline in The Flash crossover.” Rickards shared with Entertainment Weekly.

“I feel like her feelings there weren’t unprecedented, but obviously it was a different timeline. With this coming up, it puts a big stake in their relationship. It makes it known that she doesn’t really know 100 percent who she’s in a relationship with. I think that that scares her and makes her untrusting whether she should have more leeway with him at this point. It hurts her pretty bad.”

So fans, is a real wedding going to take place between now and the end of the season? Or is it a set up for something else? Perhaps it is an actual wedding, but Felicity gets cold feet and leaves Oliver standing at the altar?
