Taylor Swift Writes About Heartache As Parents Split

Taylor Swift is no stranger to singing about her own personal heartache over lost loves. However, Swift’s new album will shed a different heartache, and this one is specifically about the split of Taylor’s parents.

According to multiple sources, after nearly 25-years of marriage, Swift’s parents have decided to split. It’s said that the break up is hard on Swift in particularly and that the only way she’s expressing her sadness is through her music. When asked about the lyrics she’s been writing for the new album she said, “They’re sad, if i’m being honest.”

A family friend dished about Swift’s hard time in dealing over the split of her parents saying, “She’s been going through a lot. The new album will showcase the pain of her parents’ separation.”

According to a family insider, Taylor Swift’s parents, mom Andrea and dad Scott, have been separated over the last two years, but wanted their family life to stay private and out of the limelight, which Swift usually finds herself in. “The Swifts stopped wearing their wedding rings. They haven’t filed for divorce because they don’t want it to damage Taylor’s career.”

However, it’s suggested by the source that Taylor’s grueling career may be what caused Scott and Andrea to split in the first place. Swift has been touring for years now, with little breaks in between albums. “Andrea being on tour with Taylor full-time has really been hard on her relationship with Scott,” says the source.

While speaking with US Vogue, Swift said about her heartbreak, “There’s just been this earth-shattering, not recent, but absolute crash-and-burn heartbreak,” she offers vaguely, “and that will turn out to be what the next album is about.” When the profile piece came out the media speculated that it was about lost love Jake Gyllenhaal, but perhaps this is the bigger missing piece to the puzzle.
