Selena Gomez Wants To Delete Instagram Over Justin Bieber Drama

Selena Gomez is allegedly threatening to delete her Instagram account as a result of the constant drama that seems to surround her and her former relationship with Justin Bieber.

Gomez wrote on Instagram on February 28 that she wants “to delete [her] Instagram” account after fans of the former couple couldn’t seem to stop creating unnecessary drama where Selena claims there is none, Life & Style is reporting.

The drama began when a video of Selena singing along to Lil Wayne’s “Single” surfaced online, which had many fans speculating that Gomez was taking aim at ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber.

Selena then took to Instagram following all the Justin speculation, where, according to several fan captured screenshots, Gomez wrote, “THAT’S A JOKE. I WAS SINGING BACK TO LIL WAYNE. MY LIFE ISN’T ABOUT MY EX.”

According to Life & Style, Gomez also allegedly told her millions of followers on the site, “Please screenshot what my comment was so that people know.”

But Selena’s Instagram drama didn’t stop there.

Gomez then took to the photo-sharing site to post a photo of herself with the band Hillsong Young And Free, which she captioned “Family.”

According to screenshots, Instagram user @sexlikegomez then commented on the photo “I smell drama,” to which Selena fired back that she wanted to delete her account on the social media site altogether over the seemingly never-ending Justin Bieber talk.

“I want to delete my Instagram,” Selena allegedly wrote in response to the comment, “There’s no drama. Everyone else creates drama. Including this post.”

But while Selena Gomez has not publicly acknowledged her latest Instagram comments, this isn’t the first time Gomez has hinted that she has plans to delete her social media presence.

Selena opened up about the possibility of waving bye bye to social media in a recent interview with W Magazine, where she admitted that her Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and several other accounts may all disappear from the internet in the future.

“In a few years. I’ll give all of it up,” Selena candidly confessed to the magazine earlier this month, where she admitted that she really only uses social media because she wanted to make sure her own voice was heard while millions of fans posted about her every day.

“I’m utilizing social media right now because of my age and because, to be honest, everybody else in the world was talking about me, so I wanted a f***ing say,” Selena, who has close to 40 million Twitter followers and more than 67 million Instagram followers, told W Magazine.

“I honestly had to,” Selena revealed at the time, also confessing that she never expected her life “to be as public” as it is right now.

“Is this going to destroy me or make me? I still have to make that choice on a daily basis,” Gomez said of sharing her life on sites like Instagram.

Selena also opened up about the drama that surrounds her former relationship with Justin Bieber in the magazine, where she admitted that the media scrutiny that followed their romance and break-up left her in despair.

“I was kind of in a corner, banging my head against the wall,” Selena said of the intense media and social media interest in her relationship, adding that at one point she “didn’t know where to go” to get away from all the unwanted attention.

“At first I didn’t care,” Gomez said of her life in 2010, when she first started dating Bieber, “To me it was: I’m 18, I have a boyfriend, we look cute together, we like that,” Selena said. “Then I got my heart broken and I cared. Because people had no idea what was going on, but everywhere it was a million different things.”

Do you think Selena Gomez will really quit social media anytime soon?
