Karrueche Tran Not Speaking To Chris Brown Despite ‘Back To Sleep (Remix)’ Apology, Sources Say

Karrueche Tran has yet to publicly acknowledge Chris Brown’s “Back To Sleep (Remix)” shout-out that made headlines last week, but according to sources close to the model, it doesn’t appear that Karrueche will be reaching out to Chris Brown anytime soon.

Last week, Chris Brown debuted the remix version of his “Back To Sleep” track off of his new album, Royalty, which includes features from former One Direction singer Zayn Malik and R&B singer Usher.

While the remix’s star-studded features made it an instant hit among fans, Chris Brown’s decision to name-drop ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran in the new track has been igniting reunion rumors for the former couple.

In the second verse of the remix, Chris Brown apologizes to Karrueche for being unfaithful in their relationship while also shouting-out his ex’s name at the end of his verse.

“Now where you been, it’s been a year / Baby I ain’t seen you, you know I miss you / Baby let me love you back to sleep once more / And I know we don’t speak no more / But I just wanna tell you I’m sorry / For f***ing ’round with Keisha and MaKayla…I just want you to love me / Yeah, baby don’t test me / You know I’ll do it / You want me to say your name girl? / Okay, Karrueche!”

Despite the attention surrounding Chris Brown’s new remix, sources close to Karrueche Tran reveal that the model is choosing to ignore Brown’s “Back To Sleep” apology.

“[Chris Brown] thinks that he can just sing a song for [Karrueche] and she comes running back into his arms,” a source close to Karrueche and Chris Brown reveals to Urban Islandz, “but it would take a whole lot more than that.”

The source further explains that Brown “did reach out to her again,” but notes that Karrueche “made it clear that she don’t want to talk to him. [sic]”

Karrueche’s source also reveals that Tran is still “deeply hurt” by the events leading up to their split and explains that it’s “difficult for her to accept him back.”

“Don’t get me wrong because we all think that she still loves him, but she is looking at many things such as what message would she be sending to her fans and other young girls out there that are dealing with toxic relationships,” the source continued. “Plus, Karrueche has made it clear that she does not want to be a step mother.”

Karrueche Tran publicly ended her longtime relationship with Chris Brown following the news that Brown had fathered a child with model Nia Guzman. Tran took to Twitter in March 2015 to address Brown’s father status, telling fans, “Listen. One can only take so much. The best of luck to Chris and his family. No baby drama for me.”

While Chris Brown has yet to publicly address his decision to name-drop Karrueche Tran in his “Back To Sleep (Remix),” it doesn’t appear that the model is interested in reuniting with the “Loyal” singer anytime soon.

Following their split, Karrueche Tran has been focused on her new collaboration with ColourPop Cosmetics, called “Kaeop,” in addition to furthering her acting and modeling career. Chris Brown is currently busy promoting the release of his Royalty album and is rumored to be working on a new mixtape following Before the Party‘s release in November.
