Jodie Sweetin Talks How ‘Fuller House’ Family Got Her Through Tough Times

The Full House family is back in Fuller House, and fans spent the entire weekend binge watching the show. Now Jodie Sweetin, who plays Stephanie Tanner, is speaking out about how she was really close to the people on the show. To Jodie, they were more than just coworkers, but were actually her family. E! Online shared what Jodie Sweetin had to say about how close she is to the people from this show.

Jodie Sweetin went through a struggle with drugs in her past, but she is doing great now. Sweetin has never been shy about this fact, and is now speaking out about how her Fuller House family has been there for her through it all. She has been very lucky to have them to lean on during hard times. Here is what Sweetin had to share about it all.

“We have a family. I don’t think that there’s anything that we go through, good, bad, or daily stuff, that we can’t share with each other and enjoy and support and love each other. We’ve known each other for almost 30 years now. When you are as close to people as we are to each other, for that long, you become a family. We support and love each other no matter what. It becomes a real familiar relationship where we insulate each other from all of that stuff and support and love each other through it.”

Us Magazine shared some of the details about how things are going on the set of the show for the girls. It had been a long time since they had all worked together. Candace Cameron Bure shared that it was all really emotional for them all including Sweetin.

“I was so overwhelmed. I cried at different sets when I saw them. There’s just so many memories that are brought back, so it was really emotional. And it was for the first two weeks, until I finally got settled in. And then it just became a part of me.”

Jodie Sweetin, Candace Cameron-Bure and Andrea Barber have been doing a lot of interviews together since Fuller House was done filming. It is very obvious that the three are close to each other, and still get along great. They seem to be really excited about being back together again, and even shared that it took a bit for them to film the first episode because getting serious and to work right away wasn’t easy for them all.

Romper shared the details of how Jodie Sweetin met her new fiancé, and how bad things were for a while for her. At the age of just 14, Jodie said that she was an alcoholic, and when she was 25, Jodie was using her checks from Full House to buy drugs. Jodie Sweetin is now engaged to Justin Hodak, who she met through mutual friends. Jodie Sweetin has two daughters, 7-year-old Zoie and 5-year-old Beatrix. This will actually be her fourth marriage. Sweetin was married to Cody Herpin, Shaun Holguin, and Marty Coyle. Now, it looks like Jodie Sweetin has finally found her match and these two are adorable together.

Viewers are really enjoying Fuller House so far, but at this time there is no news about if the show will be back for Season 2 or not. Everyone hopes that it will end up happening.
