Tory Lanez Dissing Drake In ‘Uber Everywhere’ Remix? Rapper Seemingly Shades Drake’s Acting Career

Tory Lanez may have dispelled rumors of a growing feud with Drake earlier this month, but it appears that Lanez is only fueling the feud claims following the release of his “Uber Everywhere (Remix)” earlier this week.

Tory dropped his version of Madeintyo’s increasingly popular “Uber Everywhere” on Friday alongside an announcement that his “Fargo Fridays” series, in which Lanez debuts new songs, albums, and videos on Fridays via HotNewHipHop, would be making a return in 2016. Speaking to fans on the return of the series, Lanez took to Twitter to explain, “The Fargo Friday’s series is back for 2016! For those of you that don’t know… They end for the winter and come back after Groundhog Day!”

While Tory Lanez’s rendition of “Uber Everywhere” has been met with positive reviews from fans, it appears that the rapper is also garnering attention for his alleged diss on Drake in the remixed version of the song.

In the song, Lanez seemingly takes several shots at Drake following the release of the rapper’s “Summer Sixteen” diss track that dropped during Drake’s hosting gig on OVO Sound Radio last month.

In Drake’s track, the rapper seemingly blasts Tory Lanez and the “new Toronto” when he raps, “All you boys in the new Toronto want to be me a little,” further fueling speculation of growing tensions between the Toronto natives.

In Lanez’s new track, the rapper appears to take aim at Drake in several lines of his “Uber Everywhere (Remix)” when he raps, “Oh I knew you was a trick, you slip and slide in that s*** / It be me and Play Picasso ain’t no Metro in this h**.”

Fans took to Twitter to argue that Lanez’s reference to Metro Boomin is a dig at Drake, given the rapper’s collaboration with the record producer for his joint mixtape, What A Time To Be Alive, alongside Future.

In addition, Lanez seemingly takes aim at Drake’s acting days on Degrassi: The Next Generation when he raps, “I’m a fly n**** ain’t no Robin jeans on my waist / P**** boy I’ll slap that smile clean off your face / You don’t know no trap n****s you don’t be round this way / You some actor n**** boy I used to see you on the screen / Now skrt skrt all that Uber whip around the way.”

While Drake hasn’t responded to Tory Lanez’s alleged diss, Lanez recently opened up about Drake’s “Summer Sixteen” diss on him in an interview with Revolt, in which he explains, “If people really do believe that was a diss or whatever the case it is, I don’t know what that man has against me.”

“I’m getting money over here, I’m good, I’m young, I’m finally in a position to feed my family—please don’t try to take that away from me,” Lanez continued of the alleged Drake feud rumors, “All I want to do is rap.”

Tory concluded his interview by noting that he’s “a f***ing Drake fan” and that Drake “could diss me 20,000 times and I’d never diss him,” although the rapper was accused of blasting Drake during one of his live performances just days after dispelling the feud accusations.

According to Billboard, Lanez seemingly dissed Drake during a live performance in his hometown earlier this month when he reportedly referred to the rapper as “always calculated,” before appearing to fall from a balcony ledge following the end of his speech.

Lanez later addressed the fall rumors on Twitter by telling fans, “people…I landed on my feet..Lol that s*** do look crazy tho…*laughing crying emoji*.”
