Gwen Stefani Mocks Blake Shelton Breakup Rumors, Shows Support For Boyfriend During Concert

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are still going strong despite the latest round of breakup reports surrounding the The Voice couple’s relationship.

On Wednesday, a new tabloid rumor emerged claiming that Gwen and Blake had ended their growing romance due to pressure from Shelton’s ex-wife, Miranda Lambert. While rumors continue to suggest that Miranda and Blake are hoping to reunite after ending their four-year marriage last summer, both Miranda and Blake’s reps have denied the claims.

Despite the breakup speculation, Gwen Stefani took to social media earlier this week to dispel the split claims by sharing a photo of herself alongside a tabloid cover that reads, “Gwen & Blake SPLIT!”

In the photo, Gwen Stefani can be seen standing in front of the tabloid magazine’s false “split” cover before adding the caption, “#airportnews,” to her photo. According to Gossip Cop, Gwen Stefani was actually in the process of boarding a flight to see Shelton perform in Kansas City, Missouri, when she spotted the tabloid magazine at an airport newsstand.

Just hours later, Gwen Stefani took to Twitter to further slam the Blake Shelton breakup reports by sharing another photo of herself alongside an “all access pass” to Blake Shelton’s show on Friday night. Shelton performed at the Sprint Center in Kansas City as a part of his “Blake Shelton Presented by Gildan Tour,” where Gwen also live-tweeted from the event.

The news comes just days after Gwen Stefani gushed over her budding romance with Blake Shelton during an interview with Ellen DeGeneres for the talk show host’s The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday.

During the interview, Gwen Stefani opened up about her return to The Voice next season as Blake Shelton’s mentor, prompting DeGeneres to ask, “When [Blake] popped the big question about you being his mentor [on The Voice]—how did he do that?”

Stefani, amused by DeGeneres’ clever play on words, responded with, “Did you rehearse that before? I want to be on that show as much as possible—I got so much out of it,” Us Weekly reports.

In addition to speaking on her return to The Voice, Stefani also opened up about her new song, “Make Me Like You,” which Gwen penned about her romance with Shelton following her abrupt divorce from husband Gavin Rossdale last year.

Gwen and Gavin called an end to their 13-year marriage last year following reports that Rossdale had been unfaithful in their marriage. Gwen and Gavin share three sons, Kingston, 9, Zuma, 7, and Apollo, 1.

Speaking on the track and its respective music video, which was filmed live during a commercial break for the 58th Annual Grammy Awards earlier this month, Gwen reveals, “I do get nervous, especially TV. There was something about that time that I sort of wasn’t [though].”

Speaking of the Grammys, Ellen DeGeneres further pressed Gwen about her recent PDA with Blake during Clive Davis’ pre-GRAMMYs party earlier this month in which Stefani was photographed sitting in Shelton’s lap during the duration of the event.

“They didn’t have enough chairs at that event?” DeGeneres asked Gwen of the duo’s coupled-up pic, prompting the singer to bust out laughing. While Gwen made her best attempt to dodge questions about her relationship with Blake, it’s clear that the duo is still going strong amid the ongoing breakup reports.

Gwen Stefani’s new album, This Is What the Truth Feels Like, will be available beginning on March 18.
