Carrie Underwood’s Son Turns 1 — Their Sweetest Moments Together!
Carrie Underwood is celebrating a huge milestone today – the first birthday of her son, Isaiah.
To celebrate Carrie Underwood’s little man’s first birthday, we’re taking a look back at six of the sweetest moments (and realest!) moments Carrie has shared with the world during her first year as a mom.
“What I Never Knew I Always Wanted”
Carrie Underwood shared a number of adorable snaps of herself and husband Mike Fisher sharing some special moments with their son during her Storyteller – Stories In The Round tour. While performing the emotional “What I Never Knew I Always Wanted,” a personal song about finding happiness as a mom and a wife, Underwood shows off a number of private photos from her family album – including a sonogram.
According to Jacksonville, Underwood even used the song to announce that Isaiah had taken his first steps on the opening night of her tour on January 30.
“I didn’t think I could love anything more than being here on this stage. I was wrong, I was very wrong. I had a baby,” Carrie told the audience on the opening night of the show. “He took his first steps today, on the first day of my tour, in Jacksonville,” Carrie revealed, “I don’t think today could get any better.”
The TV Changes
Carrie revealed on January 14 that she was saying bye bye to the morning news and hello to Mickey Mouse since becoming a mom.
“I used to watch the news in the mornings. Now I sit in the floor with my cup of coffee and this munchkin and sing the “Hot Dog” song!,” Carrie captioned this adorable photo of her little man getting some TV time. “I think like it better this way! #whodathought #bestwaytostarttheday,” Carrie added.
Baby Poop!
Underwood revealed in a tweet on December 29 that being a mom certainly isn’t as glamorous as her life in front of the camera. “Welp, I got peed on this morning. What a way to start the day” Underwood told her almost 5 million Twitter followers in December, alongside the hashtags “#momlife,” “#MomProblems” and “#WhereAreTheDiapers.”
Baby Kisses!
In one of the sweetest videos ever posted on her official Instagram pages, Underwood showed off an adorable moment of her son planting some serious kiss on her lips while at home in Nashville.
“Baby kisses are the best thing in the world… I’m so thankful for my sweet angel,” Carrie wrote on the social media site on November 10, “He makes my life better in every way! #SoInLove #MomLife #Slobber.”
The “Awkwardness”
Carrie Underwood revealed to E! News back in September that “awkwardness” is all part of being a mom – especially when it comes to feeding time.
“You learn that awkwardness is part of being a mom,” Carrie joked to E! News last year, where she admitted that she’s actually breast pumped in some of the most awkward places. “I’ve literally turned my chair around into a corner over on like a side room [at a restaurant] and pumped there,” Carrie revealed. “I pumped at a concert once, I was attending somebody else’s concert. Awkwardness is a part of being a mom.”
The Birth Announcement
Underwood announced little Isaiah’s welcome into the world in the sweetest way just under one year ago. Posting a shot of his little hand to her Instagram page on March 3, Underwood announced to the world that her little bundle of joy had officially arrived.
“Tiny hands and tiny feet… God has blessed us with an amazing gift!” Underwood captioned the first publicly shared photo of her son on the social media site. “Isaiah Michael Fisher – born on February 27. Welcome to the world, sweet angel!”
