In Touch asked celebrity trainer Charlene Ciardiello what the secrets were to The Heat star’s weight loss success. While Ciardiello is not working with McCarthy, the trainer explained that eating salads and consuming protein with a good exercise plan are the key to shedding weight so suddenly.

Staying extremely busy also looks to be a part of her weight loss regime. McCarthy recently wrapped up a comical visit to the popular late-night show Saturday Night Live. In her fourth appearance hosting the show, Melissa appeared in most of the skits and demonstrated her ability to deliver hilarious moments throughout the show.

On the big screen, McCarthy will be appear in a pair of films this year. Melissa will be starring in the R-rated comedy The Boss in April, a tale about wealthy woman Michelle Darnell as she suffers a fall from grace and must rebuild her wealth. The first official trailer for the movie (warning: strong language) shows her looking slimmer.

Melissa McCarthy shared a shorter, cleaner version of the trailer with her Instagram followers.

The Boss has a strong cast supporting Melissa in the comedy. Kristen Bell, known for role in Veronica Mars, stars as a single mom who assists McCarthy in rebuilding her image. Along the way, viewers can expect to see Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage and veteran actress Kathy Bates.

In addition to The Boss, movie-goers will see McCarthy starring in the Paul Feig remake of Ghostbusters. The all-female cast of ghost trackers include Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon. Also appearing in the movie will be original Ghostbusters cast members Bill Murray and Sigourney Weaver.

Melissa has inspired several women with her new look. Being frustrated with a lack of clothing options for bigger women, Melissa decided to dabble in designing apparel that would suit her and others’ needs. That inspiration has led McCarthy to create a clothing line called Seven7, an apparel company that caters to sizes from 4 to 26 for women. She also incorporates 1970s looks into her pieces, adding a stylish touch for the women who like her line.

In addition to runway photos and TV appearances, McCarthy has also been using her social media presence to show off her look. Melissa has shared several photographs and videos with her fans to show off her dramatic weight loss.

Melissa McCarthy isn’t the only celebrity to have demonstrated a new look in recent months. Khloé Kardashian went through a significant change over the last year, and a recent nude photo session demonstrated just how dramatic her changes were, the Inquisitr previously reported. Kardashian’s change was attributed to her workout regimen, which she has shared numerous times through her website and app.

Melissa McCarthy’s weight loss success was comparable to John Goodman’s. The Roseanne actor had lost more than 60 pounds recently, showing off his new look during the Trumbo premier in London, as the Inquisitr previously reported. Goodman discussed his weight loss, saying that he “wanted to live a better life” as the reason for dropping unwanted pounds.
