Taylor Swift & Calvin Harris’ One-Year Anniversary Coming Soon: A Look Back At How They Met

In case you forgot how Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris first met, now you finally have your answer.

It’s almost been a year since Taylor Swift, 26, and Calvin Harris, 31, started dating and broke the internet. The pop star and the Scottish EDM producer reportedly met at the 2015 Brit Awards. This is Swift’s longest-running relationship, according to E! Online. She previously dated high-profile celebrities like Harry Styles, Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer, Joe Jonas, and Taylor Lautner, for only several months.

Taylor Swift’s good friend Ellie Goulding told The Sun last summer that she was the one who introduced Taylor to her new beau.

“Calvin is a really great mate and he’s so fantastic, and Taylor is such a cool person who I love. I thought, ‘They’re both really awesome and both really tall, they’ll be brilliant together.'”

Now there’s an official timeline of Swift and Harris’ relationship.

Swift first laid her eyes on Harris at the 2015 Elle Style Awards. A fan shared a photo on Instagram of Swift and Goulding approaching Harris as he chatted with Sam Smith. As you can see in the photo below, Swift was very taken by Harris. She even couldn’t help but stop to check him out!

“#tbt Last February’s #ellestyleawards when I snapped @elliegoulding introducing @taylorswift to @calvinharris for the first time (with a cameo by @samsmithworld),” the caption reads. “Happy anniversary, you two kids!”

But at the time, Harris was dating model Aarika Wolf. The couple was spotted on the beach together prior to the Brit Awards. They broke up around the time of the Brit Awards and then the rumors of Harris dating Swift surfaced on social media a month later when they were first spotted walking hand-in-hand in Nashville.

Then Swift and Harris were spotted together again at the Brit Awards in February. The pair was seen chatting with Rolling Stones front man Mick Jagger.

Then on March 11, 2015, Harris revealed in a radio interview that while Swift “looks lovely,” she was the “opposite of my type” and declared that he would swipe left on her Tinder profile. He pretty much says that he likes brunette models.

Then on March 25, Swift and Harris sparked the dating rumors when they were spotted holding hands and wearing matching gray outfits at Whole Foods in Nashville, where they also posed for photos with fans. The very next day, Swift and Harris were spotted attending a Kenny Chesney concert in Nashville, where they reportedly got “snuggly” with one another during the concert.

The couple continued to pile on the PDA when they were seen attending a Haim concert in April. Swift was photographed sitting on Harris’ lap. Following the concert, Swift and Harris were spotted holding hands and leaving in the same vehicle.

Things got steamy on April 20, when Harris was spotted leaving Swift’s Los Angeles home. Then eight days later, the producer confirms the rumors that he watches Swift’s two cats by posting photos and video on his Instagram page. After packing on the PDA at various concerts, the couple finally confirm the dating rumors by attending the 2015 Billboard Music Awards together.

When Swift wins the Top Billboard 200 Album award, she stops to hug her boyfriend who kisses her on the cheek in front of millions.

So what’s next for Taylor Swift now that she has a hot album and a hot boyfriend to boot? After winning Album of the Year at the 2016 Grammys, Swift could venture into the EDM territory after going full-on pop with 1989. Last year, an inside source claimed that Harris and Swift have been making music in the recording studio together.

“Taylor is producing more dance music now and would love to write a track with Calvin.”

It’s any wonder if that music will be featured on Harris’ upcoming album, or on Swift’s next album after she takes her well-deserved break.
