Travis Barker Alleges Shanna Moakler Has Drugs, Guns Around Children, Seeks Custody Agreement Change

Travis Barker is unhappy with his custody agreement, and it has everything to do with the behavior of his ex-wife, Shanna Moakler — as well as a drop in the drummer’s income, according to a new report.

On Friday, TMZ reported that the Blink 182 drummer had filed legal documents in an effort to change his custody arrangement, alleging that Moakler has drugs and guns around his two children, Landon and Alabama.

Additionally, Barker claims that Moakler is leaving the kids unsupervised, citing an incident when Barker found 12-year-old Landon “roaming around” Calabasas with a 15-year-old girl. Finally, the drummer alleged neglect, as Barker is concerned that his children have been sent to school by their mother without lunches.

In the documents, Barker requests changes to his child support agreement “because he thinks Shanna is spending a lot of the dough on herself,” TMZ reports. Barker is currently paying $18,000 in child support per month but would like to see that number cut as low as $2,900.

The documents note that Travis Barker was pulling in $2 million per year when he and Moakler reached their agreement, but the rocker says he only pulled in $600,000 in 2015. Despite the pay cut, Barker notes that he still has $37 million in assets.

Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler were married in 2004 and became familiar faces on television with their reality TV show, Meet the Barkers. The show gave viewers a glimpse into their often volatile relationship, allowing fans to watch the rock star and the beauty queen fight and make up on an almost-daily basis.

Eventually, the couple separated in 2006 and split for good in 2008 amid allegations of cheating, and as was expected after watching the TV show, much of Barker and Moakler’s divorce played out in the press. The couple’s drama didn’t end with the split though, and for years since the pair have publicly traded barbs via headlines, social media, and interviews.

Barker has been fighting for more time with his children ever since, going so far as to move back in with Moakler and the kids so that he could spend more time being a “good father.” In 2012, he wrote an email to Moakler regarding their custody arrangement, according to court papers, People reported. The email came after Travis Barker was involved in a plane crash in which four people died.

“I work too hard to be great dad with activities etc. spending time with them/teaching them and providing for my kids to only see them a total of two days a week some weeks,” he wrote in an email to Moakler on Sept. 23, 2012, according to the People. “I just about died in a plane crash, I got a second chance and I plan on spending every minute I have left with my kids or fighting to do so… The longer this goes on the more it screws with my kids. Everyday I see them like this the more they hurt and the more motivated I get to get more custody of them.”

Because of their children, Barker and Moakler seem to be the pair who truly hate one another but cannot completely split, and in 2014 the police were called after a domestic dispute. At the time, Moakler said Barker had threatened to “put a bullet” in her head, while Barker alleged that Moakler had threatened to call her boyfriend to beat him up.

What do you think of Barker’s request to change his custody arrangement? Do you think there could be any truth to the allegations Barker has made against his ex-wife? Why or why not?
