Chef Gordon Ramsay Tries A Girl Scout Cookie For First Time [Video]

Chef Gordon Ramsay may have tried a lot of great food in his life, but it turns out Gordon had never tried a Girl Scout cookie until recently. Considering that he isn’t from America it does make some sense; but, he has been in the U.S. for a while and Girl Scout cookies are everywhere. Ramsay does know what Girl Scouts are, so at least that is something. Fox News is reporting that Gordon Ramsay has actually tried three different kinds of Girl Scout cookies while on Jimmy Kimmel Live and his reaction is priceless. It’s obvious that Ramsay is not a fan of a couple of kinds that he tried out. Gordon Ramsay got to try Tagalongs (Peanut Butter Patties), Samoas (Caramel Delites) and Thin Mints. These are three very popular cookie choices across the United States.

Jimmy told Ramsay that he knew he hadn’t tried Girl Scout cookies before. He teased him by saying it was the “sacred territory” of America and he didn’t want to get Ramsay run out of the country. Ramsay’s reaction might just do that, particularly when he brought up taste.

Ramsay started out with the Tagalongs, which have peanut butter in them. Gordon Ramsay said that these cookies look like dog biscuits, which many will not agree with. Gordon smelled the cookie and didn’t seem to mind it too much.

Next, Gordon Ramsay moved on to try out the Samoas. This one is a favorite of a lot of people and has caramel and also coconut. They even brought out a glass of milk for him to try. The second that Gordon Ramsay took a bite of the Samoa cookie it was obvious that he was not a fan. Ramsay asked if the cookies were always that small and then took a bite of it. Ramsay said it was a bit weird and then didn’t even finish it. Instead, he spit out the rest of the cookie.

Then, it was time for Ramsay to try the Thin Mints. Kimmel explained that he loved these by saying, “These are my favorite… now what I will do is I put these in the freezer and you pull out a sleeve and you eat all of them in one sitting.” Gordon Ramsay didn’t feel the same way, that was for sure.

Gordon said the thin mint cookie tasted like a “cheap, half-rate dinner mint.” His sample came out of his mouth, too, and he didn’t care for it. Now the world knows Gordon Ramsay is not a fan of Girl Scout cookies. After the show, Gordon Ramsay went to Twitter to defend himself a bit, though. He does want to make sure the Girl Scouts know that he supports them, even if he doesn’t love their cookies. Ramsay is still a fan of their hard work and dedication.

Are you shocked to see that Gordon Ramsay wasn’t a big fan of the Girl Scout cookies? Do you think Ramsay might give them another try in the future? Sound off in the comments below on your thoughts and don’t miss Ramsay on his show Hell’s Kitchen.
