James Kennedy Reacts To Lala Kent’s Reappearance On ‘WWHL’ Without Him

Lala Kent made a very surprising appearance on Andy Cohen’s talk show Watch What Happens Live Wednesday night. Her reappearance on the talk show likely took many viewers by surprise, since Andy had publicly declared back in December, 2015, that he would never invite her and her Vanderpump Rules co-star James Kennedy back on the show after their disastrous joint appearance on it. Yet Andy clearly had a change of heart since Lala was back on the show Wednesday night. This time, sitting beside her was not James, but actor Jerry O’Connell.

In response to a viewer who asked him why he invited Lala back, Andy said that he spoke to her about it at the Vanderpump Rules Season 4 reunion show filming, which took place last Friday. Andy added that he feels great about his decision to have her back.

Lala acknowledged that her invite back to the Bravo clubhouse was entirely unexpected. On her way to the set in New York City, Lala bet that people won’t be able to guess where she’s headed and what she’s about to do.

She shared her happiness at getting a second chance.

After her appearance, Lala thanked Andy for the opportunity.

What does James Kennedy think of Lala Kent getting to be back on Watch What Happens Live without him? In response to a fan who asked if he’ll be back on the talk show, James told him to ask Andy.

James’ image did actually show on the talk show Wednesday night. A cutout board of him was placed behind the set’s bar. James joked that it was at least something.

During the talk show, Lala spoke a bit about James. Andy asked Lala about James’ declaration that he’s the “white Kanye West.” Lala gave an incredulous look and joked, “Everyone knows I’m the white Kanye West!” Andy then asked Lala about James’ DJ skills and to rate it from 1 to 10. Lala actually gave James a compliment.

“I think he’s a great DJ. Yeah I’ll give him a solid 8 and 1/2”

Lala and Jerry O’Connell also did some role play. Lala played herself while Jerry played James, taking on a British accent and all. They re-enacted some of Lala and James’ more infamous scenes from Vanderpump Rules.

On previous episodes of Vanderpump Rules, Lala and James flirted with one another and explored the possibility of having a relationship. During their joint appearance on Watch What Happens Live in mid-December, they made it seem like they were a couple. It was that appearance that drew heavy criticism. Lala and James cursed so much that much of their answers had to be bleeped out by the censor person. They also seemed very defensive and, James in particular, arrogant.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, both Lala and James later apologized for their behavior. Andy called James and Lala’s appearance “gross” and acknowledged that viewers hated it. Andy also said that he texted James and Lala’s boss, Lisa Vanderpump, about their appearance and she assured him that she was going to let them have it. Asked if he’ll ever have them back on his talk show, Andy said no.

So it seems that Andy Cohen believed that Lala Kent would be fine on her own so long as James Kennedy wasn’t around her. Thankfully for Lala, she kept her composure and controlled her potty mouth her second time around on Andy’s talk show. She also acknowledged how horrible her first appearance was, revealing that she called her mom for comfort afterwards. Even her mom thought her appearance was “pretty bad.”

“You have to know my mom. She is the most supportive person in the world, so when I called her, she was like, ‘You could have watched the swearing, but you know what? It wasn’t that bad. In comparison to, ‘You didn’t kill anybody, but it was still pretty bad.’ “
