Green Bay Packer T.J. Lang Offers Advice After String Of NFL DUIs

It’s been a rough off-season for NFL players. Several athletes have been arrested over the last few months. Marshawn Lynch, Darrius Heyward-Bey, Brandon Meriweather, Nick Fairley, and Kenny Britt were all pulled over for driving under the influence this summer. In light of the recent arrests, T.J. Lang, an offensive lineman with the Greenbay Packers, offered up some advice.

Take a cab!

Lang posted a picture of a Taxi on Twitter and wrote: “Dear co-workers.. These are pretty cheap.. Try one out.”

According to Buzzfeed, 31 NFL players have been arrested since the Superbowl. Thirteen of those arrests were for driving under the influence.

Marshawan Lynch, who was arrested earlier this month for a DUI, said:

“I want to apologize to my family, the Seattle Seahawks, the NFL and the 12th Man for the negative attention resulting from my recent actions. This is not the type of community leader I have been over the last two years or the one I’m striving to become. I want to assure everyone that I will work to be better and look forward to a very exciting, and very successful season with the Seattle Seahawks.”

Why do you think players like Lynch, who recently signed a deal worth about $30 million, decide to hop in their cars after a night of drinking instead of taking a cab?
