Chrissy Teigen Gets Overloaded With Calls After Publishing Her Number, Still Getting Riri’s Mail

Chrissy Teigen recently published a cookbook entitled Cravings that had more than just tasty recipes within its pages. The 30-year-old pregnant model also included something that would bring her fans closer to her in perhaps not the most desired manner. The beautiful wife to singer John Legend tweeted about the gift given to her readers.

“Early purchasers of my cookbook were gifted with my tiiiiiny phone number on Pippa’s collar on page 111. Learned this after 100 or so calls!”

The number was made public via a photo of Teigen and Legend while the couple lounged on their sofa with their puppy at their feet. The furry friend sported a collar with a “Call if Lost” message, which included the couple’s digits to help the pup get home safe and sound. The accidental addition to the cookbook did not slip past the model’s readers, and after about 100 calls, Chrissy realized the slip-up.

The model’s number was quickly changed so that she no longer needed to field fans’ calls, but the beauty was not at all annoyed by the contact her fans had with her for the short duration, as Entertainment Tonight shares.

“I have since changed it but thank you for all the kind voicemails. But really, to all friends, I had to change my number today so please don’t be mad at me for not getting back to any texts!!!!”

Although Teigen is no longer getting calls from her fans, she and Legend do continue to get some of singer Rihanna’s mail since moving into the Anti artist’s former home. Teigen joked about receiving Riri’s mail with ET.

“Rihanna, if you’re watching, we have some of your mail! You have a $19 credit towards a car purchase, I believe.”

Hopefully, the Umbrella singer got the message and can redeem that sizable credit! It’s clear that Teigen has a good sense of humor to match her cooking skills, personable nature, and beauty that have made her such a success. As the Toronto Star shares, the soon-to-be mommy relays how odd it must seem to fans that she has published a cookbook. In the first few pages of the book, Teigen indicates why it may be surprising.

“‘The girl who had two fast-food Twitter accounts fighting for her affection. The girl who actually celebrated Thanksgiving at Taco Bell headquarters.’ Well, believe it. And they’re not all salads, either. Case in point: this fun game-night-worthy take on the taco-in-a-bag creation (you might have seen this before called the ‘walking taco’), which ‘makes for Instagram-like heaven. If you’re expecting a model to write a cookbook full of diet recipes for you to perfect your bikini bod, I think you’ll be a little surprised here. These are recipes we love to indulge in with family and friends.'”

The Sports Illustrated model’s cookbook was inspired by her Thai mother’s cooking and recipes she and hubby John Legend turn to as quick go-tos. Some recipes include Mac ‘n Cheese, a recipe for Legend’s fave breakfast sandwich, and Frito pie. Those certainly do not sound like diet recipes or those for the calorie-focused, and the dishes seem like they’d be absolutely delectable as well as good to serve for any casual occasion with friends and family.

Earlier this week, the star took a bit of heat for her intention to hire a night nurse once her baby arrives, but was sure to defend the decision via social media. She took to Twitter to respond to critics.

“A night nurse doesn’t replace you waking and feeding at night. You’re up with them. They’re helpers and teachers.”
