Britney Spears is giving Adele some advice on her vocal skills in a new leaked video -- kind of.
In a new viral video posted online, Britney Spears can be seen telling Adele that she "needs to work on her vocals a little bit," but it turns out the conversation between two of the world's biggest pop stars isn't exactly what it seems.
The two-minute video, which was posted on YouTube by Britney Spears impersonator Katie Murdock on February 22, actually features a fake Britney and a fake Adele who are using their powers of impersonation to fool the world with their backstage meet-up.In the hilarious parody, fake Britney (Murdock) can be seen telling fake Adele (JC Brando) that she thinks the crooner should add a much breathier flare to her performance of the multi-platinum "Hello" before joking that she needs to make her vocals "a little more sexy."
Fake Britney and fake Adele then conclude that they should perform "Hello" together as a duet. Fake Britney then suggests that her fellow pop superstar "needs to dance sometimes" before showing the British star a few very sexy body rolls to incorporate into her act.
But while it appeared that fake Adele was willing to give the dancing a try in the new clip, the songstress was a little less enthusiastic when the Spears impersonator suggested she wear a two piece and get her bellybutton pierced to sex up her look.
The video has caused quite a stir online, which many fans and notable stars posting the parody online."Save My Soul" singer JoJo took to Twitter to share the video on February 23, telling her more than 700,000 followers that they "need to see Britney giving Adele singing lessons."
Perez Hilton also tweeted out a link to the video, where he revealed that Katie Murdock is the best Britney Spears impersonator he's seen.
"Does anyone know who this Britney impersonator is?" Perez wrote on Twitter "She's THE BEST I've ever seen and heard!"
But while this particular encounter didn't actually happen between the real Britney Spears and the Adele we've come to love, the two haven't exactly been shy about their mutual admiration of each other in the past few months.Back in November, Spears took to social media to show off a black-and-white video of herself dancing to Adele's "Hello," where she admitted that she "could dance to this song a million times" before telling the superstar "love you @Adele!"
Britney and Adele have certainly enjoyed quite a friendship over the past few months, which first began when the "When We Were Young" singer told i-D magazine back in October 2015 that she would "like to see Britney in Vegas" in the near future.Spears then responded with a sweet message of her own on Twitter that same month, where she revealed that she was willing to trade tickets to one of her "Britney: Piece of Me" Las Vegas residency shows for tickets to see Adele on her upcoming sold-out world tour.
".@Adele I'll trade you 2 tickets to my show for 2 tickets to YOURS!," Britney Spears wrote on the 140-character site on October 27, adding that Adele should "Stop by #PieceOfMe and say #Hello anytime!!"
Spears spoke out about the star once again with Extra earlier this month, where Britney told host Mario Lopez that she "loves" Adele and described her as the "f***ing Queen." Britney then continued gushing over the hitmaker, telling Lopez that she thinks the superstar is "amazing" and "brilliant."
