‘RHOA’ Star Phaedra Parks Takes Sons To Visit Apollo Nida In Prison — Did Phaedra Make Bargain With Apollo To Finalize Divorce?

Phaedra Parks is finally starting to soften when it comes to taking her sons, Ayden and Dylan, to see Apollo Nida while he serves time in prison. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star made it pretty clear over the past year that she would not take her sons to see Apollo while he’s locked up, but all of that changed when a recent Bravo promo for RHOA showed Phaedra getting ready to make that trip to New Jersey. Is Phaedra’s decision to take the boys to see Apollo because of a deal with her estranged husband to sign divorce papers?

It was just a few months ago that Apollo was moved to Fort Dix in New Jersey. After his move, Nida said in a prison interview with TMZ that he thinks the move to a less prison-like facility will make for a better atmosphere to see his sons. Apparently, Phaedra finally agreed, and has taken Ayden and Dylan to see Apollo as he serves eight years for fraud.

In a recent clip released by Bravo, Phaedra looks nervous about taking her sons to see their father and her estranged husband. Phaedra has threatened to divorce Apollo numerous times, and has even visited an attorney to get the ball rolling. That said, with Apollo behind bars for nearly a year and a half now, the RHOA stars are still legally married, and Apollo still keeps tabs on his boys with regular phone calls home from prison.

Now, Real Housewives of Atlanta fans know that Phaedra is finally taking another step that she said she would never do. Parks has been very outspoken about how she does not want her sons to see Apollo in jail. She has been very careful about not glamorizing Nida’s legal issues and has talked often about not wanting Dylan and Ayden to follow in his footsteps. So why the sudden change of heart? Is Bravo behind Phaedra’s reversal and the trip to New Jersey?

In the clip for RHOA Season 8, Episode 16, we see that Phaedra is packing it all up for a visit that will be highlighted on the episode airing February 28. In the Bravo clip, Phaedra is seen talking to her mom and explaining that she’s ready to finally pay a visit to Apollo. What does this mean for Phaedra’s marriage to Apollo? Is it possible that Phaedra’s agreement to bring their sons for a visit all hinged on Apollo not protesting the divorce?

Phaedra recently made a visit to Watch What Happens Live to talk divorce with Andy Cohen. Parks confirmed that she has finally got the ball rolling on her divorce from Apollo Nida. Phaedra even went so far as to say that she expects to be legally divorced in the next 45 days. Well, the clock is ticking, and we’re wondering what Phaedra has planned for her life as a single woman once her marriage is legally dissolved.

Cohen asked Phaedra if she had been dating since Apollo has been in jail. Phaedra denied dating anyone else while still married to Apollo, and even told Andy that “My momma said no!” That hasn’t stopped rumors of Phaedra hitting the dating scene, though. It all started with Mr. Chocolate last year when RHOA stars Peter and Cynthia discussed a certain admirer that Phaedra may have had. Rumors of Parks not wasting any time moving on from Apollo have continued through the new year. It’s possible that Parks is finally ready to get that pesky divorce because she’s found another man to date. Or maybe Phaedra just realized that she doesn’t want to wait more than six years to have a husband who isn’t incarcerated anymore.
