Yolanda Foster Takes Mohamed Hadid’s Last Name, But Is The ‘RHOBH’ Star Hoping For A Reconciliation?

Yolanda Foster revealed last week that she would be changing her last name from Foster to Hadid after her impending divorce, but apparently, there’s not chance of a reunion with the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star’s ex-husband, Mohamed Hadid.

After announcing she and David Foster were parting ways after a four-year marriage in December of last year, Yolanda Foster appeared on Watch What Happens Live, where she was introduced with her former last name. However, when it comes to getting back together with the father of her three children, Bella, Anwar, and Gigi Hadid, Mohamed has made it very clear that he’s 100 percent committed to his fiancée, Shiva Safai.

On Sunday, days after Yolanda Foster announced she would be taking his last name, Mohamed surfaced on Instagram, where he shared a photo of himself and his soon-to-be wife, along with the caption, “A moment in time. Love, Art, Life and laughs. That Sunday afternoon.”

“It was very easy for [Yolanda Foster] to make the decision to change her name back to Hadid,” a source explained to Radar Online last week. “She wants to have the same last name as her three kids, Bella, Gigi, and Anwar.”

“[Mohamed] didn’t need to give his blessing, but out of respect for their relationship did so, and he had no issue with it,” explained the source. “This will be a very exciting chapter of [Yolanda Foster’s] life.”

Throughout the sixth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Mohamed’s name has been mentioned a number of times due to his involvement in the ongoing scandal revolving around Yolanda Foster’s Lyme disease, as well as the Lyme disease of her children. During a dinner, Kyle Richards was seen asking Lisa Vanderpump, Mohamed’s longtime friend, what he had said about the children’s health, and when Vanderpump admitted that he had told her nothing, she was accused of claiming they didn’t really have the disease.

While Vanderpump has since confirmed she in no way meant to suggest anything of the sort, Yolanda Foster feels she’s spread a nasty rumor about her kids, and things between them remain tense.

As for Yolanda Foster’s divorce from David, the Radar Online source said it was “moving along” and “she is letting the lawyers deal with it. There is no ill will towards David, and she wishes him only the best.”

“Sadly, we have decided to go our separate ways,” David and Yolanda Foster told Us Weekly in a joint statement on December 1, the day of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 6 premiere. “We’ve shared 9 beautiful and joyous years together. During that time we experienced love, friendship and the inevitable challenges that come with managing a marriage, careers, blended families and health issues.”

While Yolanda Foster and David had no children of their own, David acted as step-father to her three children for many years, and as they continue to reach new heights in their modeling careers, David has remained supportive. In fact, David shared a photo of himself with Bella and Gigi during their Chanel fashion show earlier this month in Paris, and was also in attendance during the Versace fashion show, in which Gigi starred.
