Céline Dion To Return To Vegas Stage For First Time Since Husband’s Death — How To Watch Live

Céline Dion is making her big return to the Las Vegas stage tonight for the first time since her husband René Angélil’s death from throat cancer, and she’s live streaming the whole show for her fans.

Dion announced yesterday that she’ll be streaming her big return to the Colosseum stage at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas live for her millions of fans around the world on February 23 via her official website, CelineDion.com.

Céline used the online platform to announce the big news on February 22, where a pre-prepared statement invited Dion’s legions of dedicated fans to join Céline “in Las Vegas for a trip down memory lane, live at The Colosseum, to celebrate her return and witness Céline’s loving tribute to René.”

While it’s not currently known the extent to which Céline’s return to the stage following Angélil’s tragic death last month will differ from her regularly scheduled Las Vegas shows, it’s thought that the whole of Dion’s sure-to-be emotional tribute to her much-loved late husband will be streamed live via the site.

Céline most recently appeared in the Sin City venue for Renée’s celebration of life ceremony on February 3, where she told fans, friends, family who gathered to watch the service that the venue was her “home away from home” and admitted to attendees that she could “feel [René’s] love in the room” after performing in the iconic venue for so many years.

“I feel his strength and his warmth being reflected in all of you,” Céline Dion said at the emotional ceremony on February 4, according to People, “René always surrounded me with the best people who believed in us and always worked so hard on our behalf.”

“This is my home away from home,” Dion, who was visibly emotional during her short speech, revealed before admitting that she wasn’t sure if she felt completely comfortable in the Nevada venue. “At the same time I’m supposed to feel extremely comfortable being home and right now I’m not sure how comfortable I feel.”

Following her husband’s death, Dion issued a heartfelt statement to the public on behalf of her family in which she thanked her fans for their “outpouring of love” at what Céline described as being a “most difficult time.”

“My family and I are deeply touched by the outpouring of love and support from so many people who have touched our lives during these past few days,” Céline Dion told fans following René’s state funeral, which was also streamed live for dedicated fans.

“We have felt your love for René, and your prayers and compassion have helped us during this most difficult time… more than you’ll ever know,” Dion continued on her official website, adding, “I thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Dion also took the time to thank the Quebec government for honoring her husband with a state funeral and extended her gratitude to “the many individuals and organizations who came together to hold such a beautiful tribute in his name.”

“We will never forget all of the kindness that you have bestowed upon us,” Dion signed off her sincere statement earlier this month, which she attributed to her and René’s children René-Charles, Nelson, and Eddy, as well as Angélil’s three children from a previous relationship, Patrick, Jean-Pierre, and Anne-Marie.

As fans will know, Angélil, who Céline married in 1994, passed away on January 14 after a battle with throat cancer.

Céline Dion’s Las Vegas return livestream is set to begin at 10:30 p.m. on February 23 on CelineDion.com.
