Two Of Taylor Swift’s Friends Got Married This Weekend

Taylor Swift has had quite the weekend. That’s because two of her good friends have gotten married this weekend. She may be Taylor Swift but she can’t be everywhere at once, of course.

Taylor Swift was the maid of honor at Britany Maack and Benjamin LaManna’s wedding in Pennsylvania on Saturday, Feb. 20. Swift and Maack have been the best of friends ever since they were little girls.

“I met her when I was 10 days old, and him in kindergarten. Now they’re married and I’m in the happiest of honor ever,” Swift wrote on her Instagram page after the wedding.

It was a year ago when Maack asked Swift to be in her wedding. This role has been an important one for the pop star since it was the first one chosen by her large group of friends. Swift revealed to PEOPLE last year that she’s also known her best friend’s husband ever since they were little kids.

“I’ve never been a maid of honor before. This is my first time, and it’s really, really important to me because this is my best friend, who I’ve known since I was born. And she’s marrying someone I’ve known since I was 4.”

Both the bride and her maid of honor were dressed by celebrity designer Reem Acra. According to PEOPLE, Maack wore a hand-embroidered silk taffeta ball gown with a matching hand-embroidered cathedral-style veil. Meanwhile, Swift’s blush pink gown featured a cap sleeve with hand-embroidered lace. The BFFs picked out their dresses at Acra’s NYC showroom last summer.

“Reem does the most amazing bridal designs, and Britany and I were looking through Vogue, and she pointed to this one gown, and I was like, ‘I wonder if we could go to the showroom.'”

Another one of Taylor Swift’s friends, Paramore’s Hayley Williams, also tied the knot that same day. She was one of the many A-list friends featured in Swift’s music video “Bad Blood.” Williams married her longtime boyfriend New Found Glory’s Chad Gilbert. According to E! Online, the 27-year-old singer and the 34-year-old guitarist wed at the Franklin Theater in Nashville.

The couple started dating in 2008 and got engaged in December 2014. But Williams and Gilbert applied for their marriage license last month, according to a USA Today report. Several of their friends and family posted photos of their low-key ceremony and reception on social media.

The orange-haired singer wore a short-sleeved fitted lace bodice with a ball gown skirt before changing into a white T-Shirt emblazoned with Chad’s name on the front in red letters. Photos on social media showed the couple having their first dance and cutting their wedding cake.

Unfortunately, Swift couldn’t be there because she had to fulfill her duties at another one of her friend’s weddings. She made be the world’s biggest pop star, but that doesn’t mean she’s a super hero.

With all of her friends suddenly getting married off, fans are wondering if she’ll tie the knot with her boyfriend DJ Calvin Harris this year.

Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris first met at the 2015 Brit Awards, and began dating in March. So, that means the couple will be celebrating their one-year anniversary soon. Several rumors about their relationship have been hounding the couple ever since they revealed their relationship on each other’s Instagram pages.

The two were recently seen celebrating Swift’s three Grammy Awards at an after-party last Monday night. Harris shared a group photo on Snapchat which featured Swift kissing his cheek. An insider told the Hollywood Life that Swift and Harris partied the night away with friends, but had a lot more fun when they went home together.

“Calvin Harris spent the night with Taylor Swift at her Bev Hills home after her victorious and very emotional night at the Grammys. She may have had Selena [Gomez] as her date, but her man was quietly supporting her from behind the scenes.”
