Ben Higgins, Lauren Bushnell Have Intense Hometown Date, ‘Bachelor’ Spoilers Tease
Ben Higgins is looking for love on ABC’s The Bachelor 2016 season and he is headed off to meet some families in Episode 8 airing on Monday, February 22. Which families will give him a hard time during these meetings? From the sounds of things, he may have some intense moments with all of the outings. A new Bachelor spoiler preview teasing Lauren Bushnell’s hometown date is out and her father is definitely feeling a bit skeptical about this process.
The show shared the new Bachelor spoiler preview via Twitter and fans will not want to miss it. Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell have had sparks flying for some time now, and some fans think she just might score his final rose. However, there are three other bachelorettes still in the mix and Lauren’s father is not about to brush that off as an insignificant issue.

In the clip of Ben and Lauren’s hometown date, Papa Bushnell takes a few minutes to talk with his daughter alone. She gushes about how likeable, sweet and genuine Higgins is, but Lauren’s dad says that nobody is perfect and he worries about how quickly things are moving along. Lauren tears up a bit as she listens to her father talk about how he doesn’t want to see his baby hurt.
The network’s Bachelor spoilers indicate that Ben and Lauren will do some sightseeing in Oregon together during the daytime portion of their hometown date, and then there is the family gathering in the evening. Not only will Lauren have an emotional talk with her father, but Higgins will have a challenging talk with Lauren’s sister Mollie.
In fact, ABC teases that Ben gets emotional during this talk with Mollie, as she will be questioning how real Higgins’ feelings can be for her sister when there are three other ladies still in the mix of things. Viewers can tell that Ben and Lauren’s feelings are intense and seemingly real, but can they convince the Bushnell family of that?
Episode 8 also includes hometown dates with Caila Quinn, Amanda Stanton, and JoJo Fletcher. The Bachelor spoilers share that Higgins does meet Stanton’s two young daughters during that date, and he will have a fun excursion with Quinn in Ohio.
Ben and Caila will head to her father’s workplace, a toy factory, to create a little home of their own. During the dinner with Quinn’s family, her father will ask Higgins some intense questions as most would expect. However, Bachelor spoilers indicate that he also shares some tender insight about his daughter and the family’s connection to the Filipino community.

Additional Bachelor spoilers have detailed that Ben hits an unusual obstacle during his date with Fletcher. JoJo’s ex-boyfriend will show up to talk to her and it seems this leaves her feeling rather frazzled. In addition, her two brothers will seemingly be grilling Higgins pretty intensely. However, Reality Steve’s spoilers would seem to point toward this date going well enough to score JoJo a rose at the end of Episode 8.
According to Reality Steve’s spoilers, Amanda Stanton is the bachelorette eliminated at Higgins’ rose ceremony after the hometown dates. This means that Caila Quinn, JoJo Fletcher, and Lauren Bushnell will join Ben in Jamaica for the overnight dates set to air in Episode 9.
