Rihanna Twerks To Fetty Wap And Drake On Her 28th Birthday Ahead Of ‘Work’ Music Video Release

Rihanna celebrated her 28th birthday alongside close friends last night and, despite reports suggesting that the “Diamonds” singer is still recovering from bronchitis that led her to a last-minute Grammy performance cancellation earlier this week, it looks like Rihanna enjoyed her birthday festivities.

While Rihanna was noticeably quiet on Twitter and Instagram for her birthday, Rihanna’s close friends wasted no time in showering the songstress with birthday love in the form of throwback photos and videos on Instagram.

Rihanna’s best friend, Melissa Forde, took to Instagram last night to share a throwback snap of herself and the “B**** Better Have My Money” songstress with the sweet caption, “Happppyyyy Birthdayyyy @badgalriri Another year to make memories, grow stronger, wiser and most of all another year of life. May God continually guide, protect, and bless all that you do. #bfflyfe #rocksolid #28andsweetoff.”

In addition, Rihanna’s assistant, Jennifer Rosales, also shared a fun photo montage of herself and Rihanna yesterday with the caption, “Happy birthday $chlumpa $chtoten!! Love you to the *moon emoji* and back! @badgalriri #weneverstoplaughing #antibirthday #28turnup.”

While there’s little information regarding where Rihanna and friends rang in her 28th birthday last night, Melissa Forde did take to Instagram to share a Snapchat video of Rihanna dancing along to Fetty Wap’s hit track, “My Way,” while twerking in a silver floor-length dress.

In addition, a Vine video of Rihanna twerking alongside to her new collaborative track with Drake, titled “Work,” appeared on Twitter just hours ahead of Rihanna’s birthday party yesterday under the trending hashtag “#happybirthdayrihanna.”

Several Twitter fansites dedicated to Rihanna were also able to obtain photos and videos of the singer’s birthday festivities last night, including one video showing the songstress blowing out her birthday candles.

The news comes just one day after Drake and Rihanna confirmed via Twitter and Instagram that their highly anticipated music video for “Work” will be available on Monday, Billboard reports.

Drake took to Instagram yesterday to share two behind-the-scenes photos of himself and Rihanna on the set of the “Work” music video shoot, telling fans, “Work video dropping Monday.”

In another snap posted to Drake’s Instagram account, Rihanna can be seen dancing on the “Hotline Bling” rapper with the caption, “Take the whine like it was mine the whole time…@theo.skudra.”

Similarly, Rihanna took to Twitter on Friday to announce the music video’s impending arrival while also sharing a 30-second preview clip of her and Drake dancing in the NSFW video.

In the steamy video, directed by Director X, Rihanna can be seen twerking on Drake before dancing alongside video extras for the dancehall-inspired video. The brief preview concludes with Rihanna showing off her dance moves in front of a full-length mirror while donning a red, green, and yellow mesh dress.

With Rihanna and Drake’s newest track peaking at the No. 4 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, its rumored that the “Work” music video may push the duo’s collab into the No. 1 spot on the music charts next week.

Be sure to catch the full-length music video for Rihanna and Drake’s “Work” when it drops on Monday, February 22.
