Ian Somerhalder Who? Nina Dobrev Spotted With Chace Crawford Amidst Reconciliation Rumors

It appears Nina Dobrev is back to being single. After about seven months of dating, Nina and former Vampire Diaries alum and Bridge of Spies actor Austin Stowell have reportedly called it quits, E! News and People discovered recently according to LA Times.

“It started to get hard with both their schedules,” a source told E! News, adding that “Austin was filming a lot and in the past month, they barely saw each other. They remain on good terms.”

Apparently, says the source, it was Nina who called things off, ending the relationship either in late January or early February, with the first signs off speculation coming when Nina went to the Super Bowl without her beau and later celebrated Valentine’s Day with her girlfriends.

Nina and Austin made their relationship official when she attended the premiere of Bridge of Spies back in October with Austin and later publicly acknowledged that they weren’t going to follow each other on their Twitter accounts.

Nevertheless, Nina was recently spotted hanging out with Gossip Girl alum Chace Crawford.

The pair was caught arriving at the Villa Lounge bar in West Hollywood, and later, were seen walking together to the Bootsy Bellows night club. However, the pair have hung out in the past and according to an E! News source, they are simply just friends.

In fact, they have been friends for quite some time now. According to Nina’s Instagram, they, along with other friends, spent Thanksgiving together in 2014, and in 2015 Nina joined Chase and his sister, Candice Crawford, along with her hubby and NFL star Tony Romo at a pre-Super Bowl party.

Meanwhile, it appears Nina Dobrev is not going to be getting back with her ex and Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder. Rumors lately have been surrounding Ian and his wife, Nikki Reed, about a possible divorce and that Ian is still infatuated with Nina.

However, despite the rumors that Ian and Nina reunited on Valentine’s Day, it appears that the couple have put an end to that rumor and don’t seem to bothered by it.

Nikki and Ian were spotted at the 21^st Annual Krewe of the Mardi Paws parade in Mandeville, Louisiana, on February 14, 2016. According to Movie News Guide, both Ian and Nikki were seen at the Mardi Paws parade sharing smiles and laughter. And to add to the romance between the couple, the theme for the parade was “Love is in the ‘HAIR.’ ”

While many dressed up for the parade in such costumes as The Lion King, The Princess & the Frog, Titanic, Han Solo & Princess Leia, and Tarzan & Jane, Ian and Nikki chose not to don a costume. Instead the pair went as themselves and displayed their romantic relationship publicly.

While some dogs were photographed stopping during the parade and receiving love from bystanders, Ian also took the time to pet and kiss a cute puppy dog.

“It’s wonderful… The dog thing is really what (Reed) specializes in, so it’s really special to be able to be here with all those little furry kids.”

So despite the wishes of their biggest fans, it seems that the former Vampire Diaries costars will not get back together in real life. But, fans may get to see the couple reunite as their alter egos, Damon and Elena. Rumors are swirling that if TVD was to get cancelled, producers hope that Nina will return to the small screen one last time.
