Amber Rose Schools ??Joseph Simmons? And ?Tyrese Gibson On Sexual Consent During Interview

Amber Rose yet again reaffirms her feminism and has to correct men on their views on sexual consent, reports Us Weekly. The men in question are Rev Run Joseph Simmons, who you may remember as Run in Run-DMC, and R&B singer Tyrese Gibson. The two are the hosts of It’s Not You, It’s Men, a talk show series on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), which first premiered on January 23. The show features conversations with a number of different celebrities, discussing topics related to sex and relationships.

Amber Rose mentioned during the discussion that she feels as though she has been “sexually assaulted constantly.” Aside from being an author, entrepreneur and former stripper, Rose is known for confidently showing off her body and curves, especially on her social media accounts. Rev Run and Gibson imply that the reason for the constant unwanted grouping might be because of how she presents herself.

“A representation of what you’re wearing and stuff and seems like, in their mind, what you’re representing,” Run, 51, tells Rose. “Dress how you wanna be addressed.”

Amber Rose wasn’t having any of that, saying, “Oh, boo. No. That’s not realistic. Stop it.”

Tyrese goes on to suggest that it is a certain kind of energy that Rose is sending out to people, which causes people to feel comfortable invading her personal and physical privacy. In other words, it sounds as if Rev Run and Tyrese Gibson are putting the blame on Amber Rose, and saying it is her responsibility to make sure that she does not get men too excited. Again, Amber vehemently disagrees with that assertion, even going so far as to state that she gets that kind of unwanted attention from women, not just men.

“When I walk down the street, people think because I’m famous, or I’m cool and I’m taking pictures, that they can just grab my ass or put their hand under my skirt or, ‘Oh Amber, can I come grab your boobs?'” Amber Rose shared. “Girls do that to me all the time, and it does get like, I love you girls so much, but it does get like, stop grabbing on my boobs constantly and my butt. And guys, too…This is my privacy.”

Amber Rose headlined a SlutWalk in October of 2015 in Los Angeles, which is a global protest featuring women wearing whatever sexually provocative outfit they choose, rallying against women being shamed and punished for how they choose to dress. Rose revealed that she had been “slut shamed” for the first time at 14-years-old. Amber took part in the walk herself, wearing black lingerie and holding a sign that read, “Strippers have feelings too.”

But, Amber further explained to Rev Run and Tyrese Gibson that as a woman, no one is obligated to receive anything or take anything from her without her consent, regardless of how she is carrying herself.

“If I’m laying down with a man butt-naked and his condom is on, and I say, ‘You know what? No. I don’t wanna do this. I changed my mind.’ That means no. That means f–k no,” Amber Rose defiantly stated. “It doesn’t matter how far I take it or what I have on, when I say no, it means no.”

She also admits that she once used to shame women and “called women hoes a million times.” Rose wasn’t ultimately angry at Run or Gibson for their views, because she believes that both men and women are conditioned to think this way. “I’m a former slut shamer,” she says. “And now I’m not.”

This episode of It’s Not You, It’s Men is going to air tonight, Saturday, February 20 on OWN.
