Vanessa Hudgens Could Face Six Months Jail Time For Carving A Heart On Valentine’s Day

Vanessa Hudgens has become the focus of an investigation over a heart that was carved into a red rock on Valentine’s Day, according to Fox News.

Actress Vanessa Hudgens, who posted an Instagram photo of the red rock that had the names Vanessa and Austin carved on it and then suddenly removed it, is suspected by authorities of Arizona to be the culprit.

Other Vanessa Hudgens photos hashtagged “sedonadreams” were still appearing on Instagram on Tuesday. The media, noticing the photo on Instagram, informed the Coconino National Forest which controls the land around the red rocks according to Fox News, citing the organization’s spokesman Brady Smith.

Mr. Smith added that authorities of Arizona are currently investigating Vanessa Hudgens’ Instagram photos to determine whether or not she is the culprit.

The Associated Press reached out to a representative for Vanessa Hudgens, but he did not immediately comment on the issue. Hudgens is best known for her role in the TV show and movie High School Musical.

According to Mr. Smith, it is as yet unclear whether authorities in Arizona have located the carved heart that matches the one photographed by Vanessa Hudgens and posted on her Instagram account within the forest’s 250 square-mile area, which is under control of the Coconino National Forest.

Law enforcement will be investigating the social media ptosts and will try to get in touch with any witnesses, Mr. Smith said, as reported by Fox News.

If Vanessa Hudgens was indeed the one who did it, she faces up to six months in jail and a fine that could reach $5,000, since damaging a natural property of U.S. Forest Service land is considered to be a misdemeanor. However, according to Mr. Smith, it’s unclear whether the district has any signs that would inform people of such a law.

While forest officials do their best to keep the natural beauty of the area untouched by humans, Mr. Smith notes that people make mistakes whether knowingly or unknowingly.

It was also reported last Sunday – on Valentine’s Day – by USA Today that Vanessa Hudgens and her longtime boyfriend Austin Butler carved their names in stone at a desert location.

Vanessa Hudgens’ father died from stage IV cancer on January 30, and she posted on February 9 several emotional photos on Snapchat, as if saying goodbye to him. The photos featured moments from Greg Hudgens’ memorial service, according to Us Magazine.

The photos included a framed photo of Vanessa Hudgens’ father, who was 65 years old, as a firefighter in his uniform. The picture featured floral details and appeared as if it was at his gravesite. The actress captioned one of the images on her Instagram account as “Rest in peace daddy.”

Greg Hudgens died just one day before his daughter was set to play Betty Rizzo on Fox’s three-hour long telecast of Grease: Live. Vanessa Hudgens then decided to continue to perform her role as a tribute to her late father.

A week after her father’s death, Vanessa Hudgens shared an emotional quote via social media that read, “I wish heaven had visiting hours,” before following up with her own caption: “If only…”.

Vanessa Hudgens was photographed last week leaving a nail salon in Los Angeles, according to the Daily Mail. The actress wore Daisy Dukes with a fringed jacket and graphic top. Vanessa Hudgens appeared in cuffed denim and a moto-style graphic shirt. Her fringed chocolate suede jacket was in perfect harmony with brown colored boots, black choker with a tiny golden piece on it and a handbag over her shoulder.
