Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom recently visited New York City, but according to a new report, they didn’t visit his two children, son Lamar Odom, Jr., 13, and daughter Destiny Odom, 17.
“He didn’t see his kids when he was in NYC and the kids were upset,” an insider told Us Weekly on February 17. “They were supposed to come out and see him, but Lamar has been embarrassed to call them and they are angry.”
When Odom was hospitalized in October of last year after suffering a drug overdose, Khloe Kardashian arranged for his children to immediately fly to Las Vegas to be at his side. However, due to their school schedule on the east coast, they only remained in Nevada for a few days before returning home to New York City, where they reside with their mother, and Odom’s ex-girlfriend, Liza Morales.
Once Odom awoke from a three-day coma, he was transferred to Los Angeles, with Khloe Kardashian remaining at his side (even when the pair was en route to the L.A. in a medical helicopter), and back home in New York City, his children returned to their studies.
Throughout Odom’s medical stay at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, which continued until mid-January, Khloe Kardashian and her family offered the former professional athlete their support, and during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, they were seen visiting him. And while Odom’s children have remained focused on their schooling in recent months, they were able to travel to Los Angeles in late December, where they celebrated Christmas with their father.

A second source also spoke to the magazine, confirming the two children “were very upset” about not seeing their father.
Khloe Kardashian and Odom traveled to the Big Apple last week ahead of Thursday’s show, and during the trip, they were seen just a few times around their hotel, and at West’s event. Then, just one day later, after being extremely cautious about Odom’s ongoing recovery, they returned to their Calabasas, California, homes.
After Odom landed in New York City, a source spoke to People magazine, revealing what a momentous journey it was for Odom.
“[Khloe Kardashian] and Lamar made the decision together to fly to N.Y.C. It’s a fun trip for Lamar. They both seemed excited. Khloé will make sure that he is taken care of,” a source explained to the magazine. “For Lamar, it’s very important that he keeps regaining his old life. This will motivate him so he is able to keep focusing and work hard. Think of it as a reward. Flying on private jets across the country was his life before.”
While some may have deemed the trip dangerous for Odom, who is newly on his own after a three-month hospitalization, the magazine insider insisted that Khloe Kardashian would never do anything she felt would get in the way of his recovery, or put him in a jeopardizing position.
“[Khloe Kardashian] is nothing but protective of Lamar,” the source noted. “She would never jeopardize his health. It’s very exciting that Lamar is getting back into his old world. No one deserves it more.”

In addition to his trip to NYC with Khloe Kardashian, Odom also recently took a hike with Khloe and her sister, Kim, in the hills of Los Angeles.
