The next episode of Dance Moms Season 6 sees the return of Maddie Ziegler to the ALDC. Fresh from shooting her debut film, Colin Trevorrow's The Book of Henry, Abby Lee Miller's favorite student cannot wait to compete with the rest of her teammates. To the surprise of her friends and their moms, the coach was not at all happy to see her return.
According to the official synopsis for Dance Moms Season 6 Episode 8, titled "Maddie Is Back," Miller was not at all thrilled to see Maddie return.
"The mothers wonder if Abby is jealous of Maddie's fame."
This speculation came after it was revealed that Abby Lee Miller refused to watch Maddie Ziegler's latest appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. This definitely came as a surprise given that everyone knew that she is the ALDC coach's favorite student. When the moms accused her of being jealous towards Maddie's success, Abby looked shocked and confused.
"Why do you not watch Maddie on The Ellen Show? We feel like your jealous of her."
To make matters worse, Ziegler was having problems learning the new routine. Turns out, her frequent absences on Dance Moms Season 6 was taking a toll on her performance.
"Maddie, you're here now. You should be better than ever. You're just rushing through," Miller said in the promo.
Spoilers revealed that Maddie will not get a solo in the next episode. Abby reportedly chose her sister Mackenzie Ziegler, JoJo Siwa, and Nia Frazier to perform a solo.
According to Dance Moms Season 6 spoiler site, Mackenzie and Jojo's routine placed first and third, respectively, under the Junior division. The latter's "Mercy" number also placed second in overall. Nia's "Money Makes the World Go Round" placed fourth in the teen division.
Meanwhile, Ashlee Allen thought that this is the perfect opportunity for her daughter Brynn Rumfallo to take the lead. She has always believed that Brynn had what it takes to be the next Maddie Ziegler. Now that The Book of Henry star is allegedly leaving Dance Moms after Season 6 to concentrate on her acting career, Ashlee thought that Abby can focus all her attention on Rumfallo.
"Ashlee hopes that Abby will spend more time grooming Brynn [Rumfallo] to be the next big star."
In the last Dance Moms Season 6 episode, titled "Debbie Allen to the Rescue," Abby was clearly upset when Brynn failed to place on her solo routine. This got her mom worried about her future in ALDC. With Ziegler's return, her daughter's chances got even slimmer.
"Well Maddie's back, so I think Brynn is on probation," Abby Lee Miller explained.

While Brynn's future in ALDC and Dance Moms remains uncertain, Miller previously admitted that she is thinking of making her an official member of the group. Although her recent solo routine failed to impress the judges, the coach was also taking into consideration Rumfallo's past performances.
Kalani Hilliker's mom, Kira Girard, was definitely unhappy with the possibility of having Ashlee's daughter on ALDC after the latter made negative comments about her alleged criminal history. The reality star claimed that she will not return to Dance Moms Season 6 if they will make them series regulars.
It's so pathetic to me when dance moms compare dancers! Please don't learn from them #nodanceristhesame

Kira Girard is currently on leave to take care of her newborn son with husband David Newman.
Meanwhile, the other moms seem to think that Abby Lee Miller lost her interest in ALDC. With her ongoing legal battles, they pointed out that she was not as passionate as she was before. When the coach heard about this, she started to get upset and emotional.
"I sacrificed everything for your kids. I'm sick and tired of fighting."
