Zayn Malik Tells Gigi Hadid ‘It’s You’ With New Punk Couple Style

Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid have only somewhat officially defined themselves as having a romantic relationship, but they seem to have already adopted a couple’s punk style.

Of course, Zayn Malik is not the only one that has a career, and Gigi Hadid is gracing the covers of fashion magazines throughout the world. Naturally, what Gigi Hadid wears is important when she is working at events like New York Fashion Week — and Zayn Malik frequently tweets that he appreciates her style.

Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid go punk

In fact, Zayn Malik appreciates Gigi Hadid so much that it is alleged that he wrote a song about her that he performed on The Tonight Showwith Jimmy Fallon. Hollywood Life reports that Zayn Malik debuted his solo career on television by performing a song called “It’s You” off of his upcoming March album, Mind of Mine, and it may have been about Gigi Hadid.

About Zayn Malik’s outfit on The Tonight Show, they reported “Zayn looked super sexy in a black shirt, long coat and pants and his hair still has the pink highlights that look so great on him.”

Alternatively, The Mirror writes that Zane Lowe told Zayn Malik in a recent interview that “It’s You” is about “the break-up of your relationship, clearly” and insinuated the lyrics were about Perrie Edwards.

Whether or not the song is about Gigi Hadid, Perrie Edwards, or no one in particular, Zayn Malik has definitely been on the same page with Gigi as far as fashion is concerned. Furthermore, adopting a punk style may be a reflection of his soul and his current relationship much more than many Zayn Malik fans may have first suspected. This means Zayn Malik may be shedding “old British habits” and feeling less inhibited.

According to Hollywood Life, insiders claim the following about how different Zayn Malik feels about Gigi Hadid compared to Perrie Edwards.

“With Perrie [Edwards], he had a very English experience to America, kept all his old British habits and pretty much didn’t really want to open up to anything new and wouldn’t have even entertained the idea of living stateside. But now, Zayn does live stateside and a lot of that has to do with Gigi’s presence in his life. Because of her, he fell in love with America.”

Interestingly, if anyone supports Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik’s new punk style and attitude, it is Gigi’s mom. According to Extra TV, about Gigi Hadid being called “always the queen” at New York Fashion Week, her mother Yolanda Foster stated “I’m excited to finally see my baby in action.”

As if the runway never ends, Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have also been showing off their tastes in haute couture punk style with a long list of shocking outfits and hairstyles. For instance, Zayn Malik decided to dye his hair in a punk style with hot pink tips, according to Style News — and E! Online shows Gigi Hadid had experimental white “snowy” hair frosting at the same time.

While Zayn Malik has always shown with his clothing that he has a punk side by wearing items like leather biker jackets, this look seems to have really taken off in Zayn and Gigi Hadid’s relationship over the month of February.

Good examples include Hollywood Reporter‘s photos of Gigi Hadid wearing “experimental burgundy eye makeup.” Gigi Hadid has also been wearing the loudly-stated new emoji fashion, according to the Daily Mail.

Another indicator that Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik are adopting an “urban” punk-style fashion is their ongoing theme of black clothing. Vogue notes that Gigi Hadid is wearing thigh-high black boots with a black leather mini to her Sports Illustrated swimsuit model event.

Celebuzz notes that at another event for Sports Illustrated, Gigi Hadid wore a punk-style see-through bodysuit. Daily Mail says that Zayn Malik partied without Gigi Hadid during the Grammys, and he was out in another punk-style outfit described as “a pair of ripped jeans in acid grey, which he matched with a simple black t-shirt.”

They added to this by continuing to describe Zayn Malik’s look as “clearly designed to enhance his new, urban appeal.”
