Pennsylvania Mom Allegedly Choked Child Who Tried To Protect Little Sister

A Pennsylvania mom is behind bars after authorities say she went on a drunken rampage that ended violently — both for her 11-year-old son, and the cops who arrested her. The Dreamin’ Demon reports that Heather Hall choked her son on Valentine’s Day in an incident that left her charged with two counts of child endangerment, and one count of aggravated assault on a police officer.

The Pennsylvania woman’s 11-year-old son reportedly notified police after she allegedly attacked him. The child was trying to protect his two-year-old sister, whom Hall allegedly tried to lock outside in the cold. The Pennsylvania mom reportedly said that she didn’t want her daughter anymore and was trying to retrieve her from a bedroom so she could abandon the child outdoors. The 11-year-old boy tried to get in between his mother and his little sister when the alleged assault took place. She allegedly held him by his throat until he was unable to breathe. No reports are sharing how the boy was able to break free from the woman’s grasp.

The child also told authorities that she assaulted him again when he attempted to get a blanket for him and his sister in case they were locked outside, in temperatures that reached as low as -10 degrees Fahrenheit. The child told police that his mother “tackled” him when he tried to retrieve the blanket.

The York Dispatch reports that the Pennsylvania mom passed out at some point after the alleged assault on her 11-year-old son. She was unconscious on her couch, with her toddler pinned by her body, when authorities arrived at the scene. When they woke her up, she reportedly became incredibly belligerent, asking one of the officers, “What the f**k are you doing in my house?” She reportedly berated the officer for a length of time until the father of her two-year-old daughter arrived at the scene to take custody of her. That was when officers found an empty bottle of alcohol on the floor near where the woman was sleeping.

The arresting officer at the scene also detailed in a report that Heather Hall was crying while shouting that she did not want her two-year-old daughter anymore. The Pennsylvania mom also became combative at the time of her arrest, reportedly kicking one of the officers. She also reportedly requested that she be taken to the hospital, which they obliged. However, once at the hospital, Heather Hall reportedly became even more combative. She spat on a security guard at the hospital and hurled racial slurs at him before being locked in a commitment cell, where she reportedly kicked and slammed into the door.

A case worker with the York County Office of Children has told authorities that the department is “familiar with the residence,” where the violent Valentine’s Day incident occurred. This also isn’t the first time Heather Hall has been accused of mistreating her children. In January, police were called to the Pennsylvania woman’s home to find her heavily intoxicated while her daughter was screaming in her crib. The father of the baby is the one who reported the incident to police. However, the children were still allowed to be in custody of their mother after this previous run-in with police. Now the children are in the custody of the toddler’s father, until a York County case worker works on a more permanent arrangement.
