WWE News: Update On Finn Balor And Samoa Joe Being Called Up After ‘WrestleMania 32’

WWE NXT Takeover: Dallas will be going down at the beginning of April, the week of WrestleMania 32. This is a huge event for WWE NXT, and they are truly treating it like their own personal NXT WrestleMania. Looking at the card, it very well could even rival WrestleMania itself. The word is that the event already sold out. Not only will we be getting a great main event, but we’ll also see the WWE debut of Shinsuke Nakamura and his match against Sami Zayn.

WWE is also giving us Bayley vs. Asuka, which could very well steal the show knowing those two. This on top of more matches that are sure to give fans a great, must-see event. The event is bittersweet, however, as a few people might very well be leaving the NXT roster for the main roster soon after WrestleMania 32 is over with.

According to the Wrestling Observer, NXT Champion Finn Balor is expected to be called up to the main roster this year. The problem is that Triple H would like to keep Finn on the NXT roster for a little while so that he can be the face of the brand, which means there at least short-term plans for him to stay with NXT after the Takeover event even if he loses the title to Samoa Joe.

Speaking of Samoa Joe, the feeling is that he has done more than enough to deserve a main-roster run. The idea is that he could be called up at any point. The real issue with Samoa Joe is that he could very well win the NXT Championship. This means that he could stay down on the NXT roster for a little while longer if he wins the title. If he does not, word is that he could be called up as soon as the WWE RAW following WrestleMania.

This night tends to be a big night for WWE, as the crowd is usually hot and television ratings are normally pretty good. This is a night WWE has debuted some NXT stars and even brought older stars back like Brock Lesnar and even Goldberg. That said, it would not be shocking to see either of these men make their main roster debut there.

If Balor is called up, he very well could bring his former Bullet Club friends Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson. It truly all depends on what Triple H allows, as both of these men are set to be paired up with Balor. Whether he works down in NXT a little longer or goes to the main roster, they are set to be with him. Finn Balor has teased this pretty hard for months, so expect it to happen.

As for other stars that we could see debut on the main roster after WrestleMania, there are at least three ready to go for WWE. Sami Zayn, Baron Corbin, and Bayley are all possible main roster additions. Corbin is someone WWE sees a lot in, and his size and look alone make him a WWE favorite. The feeling is that he is not quite ready, but he could be given a manager and potentially use them to help in the areas he is flawed in.

Bayley has been ready for the main roster, but NXT has needed her to help lead the division. With the likes of Asuka available now, as well as up and comers like Athena and more, Bayley is now available, whereas before she was really the only star WWE has for the women right now. Her call up truly all depends on if she loses to Asuka at Takeover. If she does not, we could be waiting to see her for a little while longer. With the potential of so many debuting soon after WrestleMania, WWE could hold off on Bayley despite her availability.

Sami Zayn was ready to be called up last summer, but an injury to John Cena lead to him staying in NXT for a little while longer. Kevin Owens ended up getting the spot Zayn was supposed to get. Of course the storylines did change up a bit. Zayn is now back from his injury and he is set to be called up after WrestleMania for the second time.

The real case with Sami being called up most likely has to do with Nakamura coming in. They will basically tag out as Nakamura will stay in NXT for a bit, then Zayn will head to the main roster.

While it can be a safe bet that not all listed will be called up at the same time, we’re going to get some or most of them. WWE needs many on the main roster now, but, of course, NXT cannot lose all of its stars.
