Post-Grammy Mean Tweets Read By Musicians On Jimmy Kimmel Are Hilarious

Just when you thought the funniest thing about the Grammys was some of the outfits, or Taylor Swift putting Kanye in his place, Jimmy Kimmel puts out a collection of music-themed Grammy mean tweets, read by the victims, that will crack you up. It seems that all of the participants have a decent sense of humor, and are used to being criticized from the other side of a laptop.

According to the Inquisitr, there were the usual mix of hits and misses at the 2016 Grammys in terms of fashion. From “where is the rest of her dress” to “what was he thinking,” there was plenty of red carpet banter. The dresses went from an elegant pink gown on Ellie Goulding, courtesy of Stella McCartney, to what seemed to be Hello Kitty footie pajamas paired with seriously high heels that just left viewers confused.

The Hollywood Reporter shared in-depth information on what hopefully will be an annual tradition, the Grammys night mean tweet celebration on Jimmy Kimmel. It’s an attempt to make fun of those who make fun of others. Ed Sheeran, Lionel Richie, Little Big Town, Demi Lovato, Mumford & Sons, Kelly Clarkson, Meghan Trainor, and One Direction and more took the time to read aloud what has been said about them on Twitter.

“Meghan Trainor is like if the sassy girl you used to work with at Express just randomly had a singing career,” best new artist winner Trainor read.

And One Direction didn’t disagree with their mean tweets.

“Don’t understand the world’s obsession with One Direction. What is attractive about little boys with gross hair and skinny jeans?”

And some were really mean.

“Drake looks like a ferret with a baby afro,” the hip-hop star read.

People Magazine continued, sharing more of the mean tweets from Jimmy Kimmel’s Grammy mean tweet video.

“If Lionel Richie wants once, twice, three times a lady, then he’s a picky mother******. Take what you can get a******.”

Mumford and Sons Marcus Mumford read the criticism of his band’s music.

“I love how music takes you away to another place,” the message reads. “Like Mumford & Sons is playing at this restaurant so now I’m going to another restaurant.”

Us Weekly also thought Jimmy Kimmel’s mean tweet readings by musicians was the funniest part of the night. Some were silly, but others, like Blake Shelton’s had an ouch factor.

“If I could choose to punch one piece of s**t in the face it would be Blake Shelton f**k that bloated a**hole,” wrote the Twitter user.

And Ed Sheeran’s was kind of personal.

“I can’t stand this new Ed Sheeran.. Like why TF are you happy on your records? You’re a f**kin ginger for f**k’s sake. Be sad,” he read.

And obviously, someone is not a big Kelly Clarkson fan.

“Well Kelly Clarkson is on,” the singer read. “Time to go poop.”

And Taste of Country said that country musicians were also fair game, as Little Big Town also read a mean tweet aloud.

“Honestly Little Big Town I’d rather listen to a turd hitting the toilet than your new songs,” the message says. It’s not the only toilet-centric tweet.

Jimmy Kimmel has shared other mean tweets read by their victims, including President Obama.
