Duggars Deny Josh Duggar Lawsuit Ended With Porn Star Payoff: Anna Duggar Pregnancy & ’19 Kids’ Reboot Rumors Swirl

Josh Duggar recently was hit by a new sex scandal following the negative publicity that began with reports he had molested several underage girls as a teen, including some of his sisters. Shortly after, Josh admitted that he had cheated on wife Anna Duggar, used the Ashley Madison website hunting for extramarital affairs, and was addicted to porn. But the latest scandal resulted from charges by a porn star, Danica Dillon, that Josh had sexually assaulted her during encounters where he paid her to have sex.

That lawsuit was dismissed, and rumors swirled that either TLC or the Duggar family had given Danica money to achieve a resolution rather than attract more negative publicity. However, the Duggars family blog has now made a public statement that those rumors are false.

“We have received a number of questions from readers regarding the lawsuit filed against Josh Duggar last year by a woman (the ‘Plaintiff’) who claimed to have been assaulted by him and requested $500,000 in damages,” noted the blog.

The case included a series of back-and-forth allegations about how Josh met Danica and what she alleged he did to her during their sexual encounters. The case finally was dismissed “with prejudice.”

“[The outcome] means the Plaintiff cannot file another complaint based on the same occurrences. Likewise, Josh agreed not to request the Court to rule that the allegations made against him were false,” clarified the Duggars.

The blog also addressed the accusations that either TLC or the Duggar family paid off the porn star to drop the case.

“To those who have accused TLC or the Duggar family of paying the Plaintiff off to dismiss the case, part of the agreement required the Plaintiff to agree that she ‘will bear her own costs and fees in this matter and that no one has or will pay her any money to resolve this matter.'”

However, some comments on the blog attacked Josh.

“Well–my concern is people are going to lose the big picture here. Her lying does not excuse Josh Duggar’s behavior. He still committed adultery and admitted to a porn addiction. The damage has still been done to his marriage,” pointed out one follower.

“I don’t think what Josh has done will ever be forgotten. The family needs to get off television and out of the public eye for the sake of the children, especially Anna and Josh’s children,” suggested another.

As the Inquisitr reported, Dillon had been seeking $500,000 in her lawsuit that claimed Josh injured her emotionally and physically during their alleged rough sexual encounters. When the lawsuit targeting Duggar was dismissed, Danica’s agreement included dropping the lawsuit, paying the costs of her legal battle against Josh, and promising that she will not refile against Duggar in the future. In turn, Josh agreed that he will not file evidence that would show that Dillon’s allegations were fiction.

As for Anna Duggar, rumors are swirling that she is pregnant with her fifth child, reported the Gospel Herald.

The pregnancy rumors resulted from the statement from Anna that she had visited Duggar, who remains in rehab. Anna also confessed that she had been challenged with the scandals surrounding her husband.

“Many have asked how I am doing. So many have asked that it’s actually humbling and touching. 2015 was the most difficult year of my life,” admitted Anna. “Yet, amazingly I’ve found that in my own life crisis God has drawn near to me (‘He’s near to the brokenhearted’ Psalms 34:18) and my faith has been more precious to me than ever before. Just recently I visited Josh. It was an important step on a long difficult road.”

One of the issues facing the Duggars since their 19 Kids and Counting show has been cancelled is how to boost their income. They did have a temporary money tree when TLC decided to create a series of specials around two of the sisters molested by Josh, Jill, and Jessa Duggar, reported Hollywood Take.

Entitled Jill & Jessa: Counting On, the specials succeeded in attracting viewers, said TLC executive Nancy Daniels.

“We just aired the three specials during the holidays. They did very well. The audience clearly cares about these girls,” said Daniels. “We’re still talking and considering it, but we have not made a decision yet.”

As to which Duggars would star in the reboot of 19 Kids and Counting, Daniels didn’t give a hint as yet. But with all the negative publicity surrounding Josh, it’s thought he would be excluded from the show.
