Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton Show PDA On Valentine’s Day Amid Engagement Rumors

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton were spotted cuddling up together as they celebrated their first Valentine’s Day as a couple on February 14.

E! News correspondent Marc Malkin snapped a cozy photo of Gwen and Blake enjoying their date night at Clive Davis and the Recording Academy’s pre-Grammy Gala at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles on the most romantic day of the year, where Stefani and Shelton “couldn’t keep their hands off each other.”

Malkin also revealed that Shelton didn’t waste any time in packing on the PDA with Gwen Stefani, who was appropriately dressed for Cupid’s holiday in all red, and he even “put his arms around Stefani and pulled her in close” as soon he and Gwen sat down.

E! News is reporting that Gwen and Blake opted not to walk the red carpet at the annual event and instead entered the venue through a private entrance to avoid the waiting paparazzi.

But while they weren’t exactly sharing a private Valentine’s Day, according to E! News, the two didn’t stop their public display of affection there. Shelton and Stefani supposedly continued to swap smooches and even danced together while Carly Simon performed her signature hit “You’re So Vain” before Gwen and left the party with her man at around 11:30 p.m.

Blake and Gwen’s romantic Valentine’s night comes just days after HollywoodLife alleged that Shelton was planning to propose to Stefani on the most romantic of Holidays.

“Blake and Gwen are really going strong and getting engaged is definitely a real thing that has been talked about, but Blake wants to make it perfect and make the day special,” a source close to Stefani and Shelton reportedly told the site of the “God Gave Me You” singer’s big plans to pop the question.

“He thought that he would propose on Valentine’s Day but then talked himself out of it because he thought it would be too cheesy and obvious to do it on that day,” the source revealed, admitting that Blake is instead looking to ask Gwen to marry him “at another time to make that date their own special day.”

And it sounds like that “special day” probably won’t be too far into the future for Gwen and Blake, who were first spotted together back in November 2015 following their respective divorces from Gavin Rossdale and Miranda Lambert earlier in the year.

“It’s definitely on his mind a lot. He’s thinking of pulling the trigger on their engagement in the summer around his birthday,” the insider teased to Hollywood Life, which means Gwen Stefani could find herself with a rock on her finger around the time of Shelton’s upcoming 40th birthday on June 18.

The big engagement rumors come amid speculation that Stefani’s new track “Make Me Love You” was actually written about her blossoming romance with Blake due to it’s pretty telling lyrics about falling in love following a broken relationship.

“I was fine before I met you / I was broken but fine / I was lost and uncertain / But my heart was still mine / I was free before I met you / I was broken but free / All alone in the clear view / But now you are all I see. I really like you, but I’m so scared / Why’d you have to go and make me like you?… I’m so mad at you, ’cause now you got me missing you.”

But while neither Stefani nor Shelton have explicitly confirmed or denied the speculation, Blake took to Twitter on February 12 to strongly hint that Gwen’s new song was, in fact, about their increasingly serious relationship.

“You can probably understand the multiple reasons why I just bought this,” Shelton wrote on Twitter earlier this week alongside a screen shot of Gwen’s latest release on iTunes.

“I hope you do to!!! @gwenstefani,” he added to his almost 16 million followers, even tagging Gwen Stefani in the sweet message.
