Pete Townshend Remembers Mick Jagger’s Penis in All its Glory

Pete Townshend, the guitarist of the sell out band The Who isn’t afraid to get cheeky with the press. During a press conference for The Who’s new tour following their anniversary for Quadrophrenia, Townshend became the king of divulging way too much information, specifically about The Rolling Stone’s front man Mick Jagger’s notorious body part.

Mick Jagger’s penis has been a subject of many conversations over the years, simply because of the musician’s talent for bedding groupies and vulnerable “band-aids” as Almost Famous’ Penny Lane (Kate Hudson) would put it.

The joke, was made after Townshend was asked about Jagger, which prompted the rocker to take the opportunity to divulge his opinions about Jagger’s penis. Cheeky or not Townshend said, “I remember it as being huge and extremely tasty.” The joke was in reference to a few insults drummer Keith Moon flung Mick Jagger’s way in 2010.

Following up his statement, as band member Roger Daltrey nearly fell out of his seat in laughter, Pete Townshend jovially quipped, “I don’t remember anything about Roger’s, and wouldn’t dare mention it. Let’s hope that makes the internet.”

The tour is said to be a 36-date affair with tickets going on sale at 10 am in July through Ticketmaster. The tour’s lineup will include surviving band members Townshend and Daltrey.

In addition to touring, Townshend, who also started a solo career in the 80s, is penning a memoir about his life events, which must be a pretty exciting read with being a prominent figure in rock music during the 70s and 80s.
