The Premier League enters its business end with Arsenal taking on surprise table-toppers Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

Arsenal come into this game at the back of an important away win at lowly Bournemouth after not having won for four league games in a row, while Leicester City visit the Emirates having thrashed both Liverpool and Manchester City in consecutive games for the first time in Premier League history.

Mind games have already started being played as we approach what could be a defining weekend for teams with title pretensions, with Sunday’s other tie seeing second-placed Tottenham Hotspur visiting Manchester City in a key tie of the Premier League season.

In the pre-game press conference, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said he would be interested in seeing how Leicester City copes with the pressure now that they are being touted as title favorites by bookmakers and neutrals alike, according to ESPN.

“Leicester were running away and us playing them makes the game very interesting. In one week, Leicester have beaten Liverpool and Manchester City, so that means that they suddenly become the favorite to win the Premier League.”

“The advantage they have until the end of the season, apart from our fans and the [Manchester] City fans and Tottenham fans, the rest of the country is behind Leicester.”

While Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri, who has swiftly turned a relegation-fighting team into one contending for the title, said all the pressure will be on Arsenal because of the expectations attached to them, according to Sky Sports.

“This time I hope the bookmakers are right. They’re just words though, not points. Give me points, not words. The pressure is about the other teams. Arsenal have a lot of pressure, because they spend a lot of money every year.”

“Why do we have pressure? Why must I feel pressure? We just continue to dream with our fans. Nobody wake us up, please. I think we work so hard to achieve this level, we want to stay at this level. But there’s no pressure for us.”

Leicester City have only lost twice in the league season so far, with one of those coming against a rampant Arsenal when the two teams met back in September at the King Power stadium. Chilean Alexis Sanchez was the star of the show on that occasion, scoring a hat-trick which helped Arsenal beat Leicester City 5-2. Arsenal will hope he can once again rediscover his goal-scoring form, with Sanchez having scored only once since coming back from injury in late January.

On the other side, Leicester will hope that their own attacking duo, Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez, take Arsenal’s defense to the task as they have done to all defenses this Premier League season. Furthermore, manager Ranieri will also be hopeful that his team’s defense can stay solid and compact and not provide Arsenal’s wide-men much width.
