‘RHOBH’ Kim Richards’ Sister Kyle On Her Feud With Lisa Rinna, Sobriety Struggles

Kim Richards has not yet been seen on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 6, but she has been a part of the drama.

In addition to the cast having several conversations about Kim Richards’ 2105 arrests, Kim Richards was also brought up during a party at her sister Kyle’s boutique in The Hamptons. At that time, Kyle’s co-stars wanted to know what was gong on with the sometimes-troubled star. However, Kyle didn’t feel comfortable explaining her sister’s situation to Lisa Rinna, whom Kim Richards has feuded with on multiple occasions in the past year.

“[Lisa]’s had problems with [Kim Richards] so that’s why it’s uncomfortable for me to speak about anything regarding Kim with Lisa Rinna,” Richards said during an interview with Heather Dubrow on her Podcast series, Heather Dubrow World, via a report by Reality Tea on February 11. “They left off so badly that I don’t feel comfortable talking about [Kim Richards] with her. It makes me feel guilty.”

During The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 5, Rinna commented on Kim Richards’ mental state after noticing she was out of it during poker night at Eileen Davidson’s house. However, while Kim Richards later admitted to taking a pain pill that had not been prescribed to her, she took offense to Rinna, and later alleged Rinna was dealing with a “situation” at home.

“It’s very hard,” Kyle said of dealing with the comments about Kim Richards. “That’s what is frustrating for me at times. They all show what’s going on in their lives at the time but nothing that spills over into any other part of their personal life. But mine has always been front and center because [Kim Richards] was on the show, which is understandable and we signed up for that, but she’s not on the show now. It’s not fair.”

Although Kyle told Dubrow that Kim Richards was no longer on the show, that isn’t entirely the case. While Kim Richards hasn’t been seen so far, and is no longer featured in a full-time role, she will be seen later on in a guest role, along with her friend, Brandi Glanville.

Kyle went on to explain that while she’s completely understanding of the fact that the show’s fans, and her co-stars, are curious about Kim Richards and her sobriety struggles, she doesn’t want to have to speak of Kim Richards “every episode” and “every time we talk.”

“I feel guilty having to speak for her,” Kyle continued.. “It’s not my place and it puts me in a bad position…It’s painful for my whole family. It was mainly about my nieces and nephew that was bothering me the most. I don’t want them to have to relive the stuff in six months when there mom is not even on the show. It’s not fair.”

In addition to being arrested twice last year, once at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where she was accused of public intoxication, resisting an officer, battery on an officer and trespassing, and a second time at the Target store in Van Nuys, California, where she reportedly stole over $600 worth of times, Kim Richards also suffered the loss of her ex-husband, Monty Brinson, just weeks ago.

In response to the shocking news, Kyle said her sister is doing okay, considering the circumstances.
