Kris Jenner Reveals Lamar Odom Health Update After Overdose & Khloe Kardashian Romantic Reconcilation Wish
Kris Jenner has learned when to gloss over the truth, and when to dish the details in her unique role as mother to her famous offspring/momager of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians clan. Most recently, Kris opened up about the progress of Lamar Odom, the estranged husband of her daughter Khloe Kardashian, following his overdose, as well as the possibility that the two might reconcile romantically. And Jenner didn’t try to hide her wishes for a happy ending, reported ET.
For Kris, seeing the former NBA player walking and talking again — including his ability to be part of Kanye West’s album release party and the Yeezy Season 3 fashion show at Madison Square Garden — is a significant milestone. The events mark the first time he’s appeared in public since almost dying after an overdose.
“Kanye invited him to come, and it’s a big deal for him to be able to come,” Kris emphasized. “I’m excited. For him to have this, you know, this is a milestone for him to be able to travel.”
That comment infers that he’s not yet fully recovered, and Jenner acknowledges it while emphasizing that the trip and public appearance are meaningful.
“So, baby steps,” admitted Kris. “But this is a big one. This is a huge step for him.”
Jenner revealed that all members of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians clan have been careful and realistic about what Lamar is capable of at this point in his recovery. With that in mind, added Kris, they agreed that because of the role West played in helping him get better, the effort of the trip and attending the events made it worth it.
“It’s a really short [trip],” pointed out Jenner. “I think it’s a great thing for him to be with the family, and come out and do something that we’re all a part of.”
In particular, Odom desired to make the effort to show his appreciate for Kim Kardashian’s husband, shared Kris.
Part of that help consisted of playing music in the hospital, according to Kris.
“That’s what he really, really responded to,” she continued. “He was amazing.”
Jenner also expressed her pride in Khloe. The 31-year-old reality TV star was there by the side of her estranged husband almost the entire time he was hospitalized.
“She’s a very realistic girl,” boasted Kris about her daughter. “She’s the strongest girl in the world. She just really, you know, nursed him right back.”
“Every one of my kids really, really amazed me at their strength and at the way they were so selfless about just dropping everything,” added Kris proudly.
When it comes to a renewed romance and reconciliation between the former NBA superstar and Kardashian, Jenner didn’t hesitate to confess her dreams.
“I think it’s no secret that that’s probably right out there, written on my forehead or something,” admitted Kris. “Yeah, I mean, I always want my kids to have a happy ending. All of them.”
Jenner wishes for happiness for everyone involved, she emphasized.
“He’s [like] one of my kids,” declared Kris. “So, I fall in love with anybody my kids, you know, bring to me and we have as part of our family. They’ll always be family, so I always want there to be a happy ending.”
With all that time focusing on her offspring, does Jenner have any time for romance herself? Judging by the increased number of appearances Kris is making with boyfriend Corey Gamble, it looks like the answer is “yes.” Jenner was spotted with Corey on her trip to New York City, reported the Daily Mail.
Fabulous in a leopard print coat, Kris looked younger than 60 in chic, sleek leggings and a top. Gamble matched her style in a camel coat and burgundy shirt. Jenner and Corey have been dating for about two years.
