Kylie Jenner’s Lip Kits: Weekly Releases, Plus, How Do They Taste?

Kylie Jenner’s Lip Kits have been a hot topic ever since they launched in late November 2015. Now, the reality star is speaking out about the infamous kits that sell out every time.

Kylie Jenner’s new lip kits sold out again – within 10 minutes. But have no fear because the 18-year-old reveals that she may be rolling out weekly lip kit releases soon. In order to prevent the kits from being sold online for double or triple the price, Jenner promised her fans on her official Kylie Cosmetics Instagram page that she will release more kits at once a week, or every other week.

“Hey guys. I feel confident saying for now that we will try our hardest to get more kits to you guys every week if not every other week. Don’t trust any scammers supposedly reselling my kits for triple the amount. Be patient & I promise they will come! I love you guys & for the people who got their hands on them.. You are going to love them. xo Kylie”

If you missed out on the first three sales of Kylie Jenner’s Lip Kits, then you can still purchase one without having to resort to ebay and other third-party sites that are selling them for hundreds more. Kylie didn’t reveal when she will be rolling out the weekly releases, but she said that they will hopefully happen soon.

This isn’t the first time that Kylie Jenner’s Lip Kits had problems when it came to low supplies. According to a previous TMZ report, some customers revealed that they never received the lip gloss and lip liner a month after they purchased them on Cyber Monday.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has previously revealed that one of her newer shades for her Lip Kits will be a classic red shade and has been named after her grandmother, Mary Jo. She named Koko after her sister, Khloe Kardashian, and the hot pink shade Posie, which a fan named.

Jenner has taken to her website and app to reveal more details about her new lip kits, including the fact that it is her lips on the packaging. She talked about her three original shades Candy K, Dolce K, and True Brown K. Jenner revealed that Dolce K is the shade that she wears the most.

“Dolce was my childhood dog. He was a Chihuahua and I had him for like 8 or 9 years – that’s his little tribute. I pretty much wanted to make a color for every skin tone. I feel like Dolce looks different on a lot of people.”

When it came to explaining the meaning behind True Brown K, Kylie revealed that her makeup artist came up with the name for the shade.

“The first time I ever saw a brown lipstick ever was on Joyce Bonelli our makeup artist, and she kind of inspired me to start doing brown lips.”

As for the pink nude shade, Candy K, the beauty blogger said that her friends used to call her “Candy,” which is how she came up with that name.

Some fans have noticed that the three original shades taste like the vanilla Lip Smackers that they used to wear in middle school. Jenner says she hasn’t tasted her lip kits, but she agrees that she’s “sure they taste good.”
