Teresa Giudice is making a big political statement and revealing that she’ll be voting for Donald Trump in the upcoming U.S. election.
Us Weekly got an early sneak peek at Teresa’s new sit down with Real Housewives executive producer Andy Cohen on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, where Giudice revealed that she’s “of course” going to vote for Trump to become president.
Giudice made the admission after Cohen revealed that Teresa wrote in her new tell-all memoir, titled Turning the Tables: From Housewife to Inmate and Back Again, that Trump grew close to her husband, Joe, when the Real Housewives of New Jersey star appeared on the fifth season of the Donald Trump fronted reality show Celebrity Apprentice in 2012.
“You wrote about your time on the Celebrity Apprentice in the book and how much Donald Trump liked Joe and they had a nice comradery,” Andy said to Teresa on the Bravo late night show, “are you going to vote for Donald Trump?”
“Of course I’m going to vote for Donald Trump,” Teresa Giudice replied, adding that she thinks Trump is “amazing” and “will make a great president.”
Teresa then quizzed Andy on who he’s planning to vote for when voting for the 45th President of the United States takes place in November 2016, to which Cohen replied, “I haven’t decided yet but I’m pretty sure I won’t be voting for Donald Trump.”
Cohen’s answer appeared to take Teresa by surprise, as she shockingly commented after Andy’s admission, “Oh my God!”
But while Teresa and Andy clearly don’t see eye to eye when it comes to politics, it appears that the two got on pretty well during Giudice’s first appearance on the Bravo talk show since the was released from her 11-month stint at Danbury Correctional Facility.
“Reunited and it feels so good,” Giudice wrote on Twitter alongside a snap of herself and Cohen on her official Twitter page, adding, “@Andy PART 2 tonight 9:30pm @BravoWWHL.”
Part two Cohen’s sit down with the Real Housewives of New Jersey star comes just hours after Andy denied that Bravo paid Teresa a six-figure salary for appearing on the show.
Radar Online claimed on January 9 that the reality network was paying Giudice an estimated $350,000 for her much-anticipated sit-down, although Andy flat out denied the report when replying to a fan on his official Twitter page.
Twitter user @payton52 originally tweeted Cohen on February 9, writing, “If the news is true..You & @Bravotv should be ashamed if u r paying @Teresa_Giudice a huge amount of $ for tonights ep of #WWHL [sic].”
Andy then replied to the tweet, claiming that the network did not pay Giudice anything for her appearance.
“We did not pay a dime. This is false information,” Cohen said on Twitter. “She is coming on to promote her book.”
The site also alleged that Giudice is set to make between $1 million and $2 million after news broke that she would be returning for Season 7 of the show that made her a household name, The Real Housewives of New Jersey, although Teresa and Bravo have neither confirmed nor denied the claim.
Giudice has however confirmed that she will definitely be returning to the show, writing on Twitter on February 8, “You guys excited for me, @melissagorga @JacLaurita @Bravotv #RHONJ Season 7? I am!!”
Teresa’s sister-in-law also confirmed that she’ll be reuniting with Giudice on the show, posting a snap of herself and Teresa as well as former housewives Jacqueline Laurita alongside the caption, “We’re Baaaack!???? #rhonj season 7 Baby! [sic].”
