Demi Lovato Spills Engagement News — Has Wilmer Valderrama Popped The Question?

Demi Lovato is revealing some surprising engagement news on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Although Demi confirmed that she’s not yet engaged to her long-time boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama, Lovato did tell the popular daytime talk show host that she “wouldn’t mind a ring” from her handsome boyfriend.

DeGeneres quizzed Demi on the ever circulating rumors that Valderrama has already popped the question and gotten engaged to the star, to which Lovato coyly replied, “I don’t see a ring.”

But just because there’s no rock on that finger just yet, that certainly doesn’t mean Demi and Wilmer won’t be talking down the aisle sometime in the future.

“I wouldn’t mind if I saw [an engagement ring], but there’s time for everything,” Demi Lovato told Ellen, “We’ve been together this long… obviously I’m not going anywhere.”

Demi then went on to gush about her boyfriend on the daytime talk show, where she recalled how her relationship with the actor has blossomed in the six years since they first met after DeGeneres noted that the two have been a couple “for a while.”

“I met him six years ago. We were friends at first. I mean, I was head over heels and he was like, ‘Stay away until, you know, you’re old enough,'” Demi, who was just 17 when the couple met, joked. “We’ve been off and on for about five and a half years.”

Demi most recently opened up about those rocky moments with Wilmer during a candid interview about her past on Australia’s KIIS 106.5’s Kyle and Jackie O Show, where Lovato admitted that her past struggle with substance abuse and eating disorders made her fight for their relationship.

“There were some moments when it was off and on when I was struggling with my issues,” Demi confessed in the radio interview. “What he would do is he wouldn’t enable me so he’d say, ‘I can’t be around if you’re not going to get your stuff together,'” Lovato continued, “It made me fight for it… He’s a very, very good guy.”

But despite Demi and Wilmer’s past turbulence, it looks like the couple are better than ever right now, with Lovato even crediting her man for her recovery in a recent social media post.

Back in April, Demi Lovato posted a very sweet shot of herself with Valderrama on social media for a very sweet Flashback Friday moment.

“#FBF to 4 1/2 years ago and yet all this time later… I still cry when I leave him for tour and I still get butterflies just thinking about him,” Demi wrote alongside a photo of herself planting a kiss on Wilmer’s cheek. “You’re magical Wilmer… I love and miss you…”

In a separate post just two months earlier, Demi also revealed to her more than 33 million Instagram followers that she was “grateful” to have Wilmer by her side.

“I wish I could put into words how grateful I am for this man right here. But my love has grown to a level that words could never possibly express how much this man completes me,” Lovato wrote on Instagram.

“He’s loved me the way I never thought I deserved to be loved and with this day marking my 3rd year sober… After sharing my ups, putting up with my downs and supporting my recovery… he still never takes credit and I want the world to know how incredible his soul is,” Demi continued in the candid social media message. “I really wouldn’t be alive today without him. I love you Wilmer.”
