Joey Feek & Rory Feek Get Grammy Nomination & Blake Shelton Support Amid Cancer: Overstock Honors With Free CD

Joey Feek and Rory Feek initially rose to fame as a country music duo. But since revealing her struggle with terminal cancer, Joey and Rory also have become famed and loved for their courage, faith, and love amid heartbreak. As Joey seeks to spend her final days in hospice surrounded by those who love her, Feek has shared their story on his blog.

One of the biggest sources of joy for Joey and Rory right now is their little daughter, Indiana, reported People. Little Indy, as she’s nicknamed, will celebrate her second birthday this month. Turning to Facebook to show her growth, the Feeks posted photos.

“Indy in her walker this morning, doing everything… except walking,” read the caption.

In addition, Rory wrote a blog about how he feels so much love woven with heartbreak for Joey.

“Feeling broken-hearted and blessed all at the same time this morning… watching my beautiful bride pour a lifetime of love into a few minutes a day,” penned Feek.

To save those memories, Feek has used the past few years to create home videos.

“God has allowed me to capture hours and hours of Joey and her life at home on the farm, raising Indiana and playing music,” shared Feek. “I can’t help but believe that those clips will be an important part of keeping Joey’s memory alive in Indy’s heart.”

And while Rory seeks ways to keep Joey happy while caring tenderly for her and their daughter, the Feeks have experienced a joyful surprise in their nomination for a Grammy, reported ET.

The honor is extra-special because it is the first-ever Grammy nomination for Joey + Rory. Also nominated in the same category of Best Country Duo/Group Performance is Blake Shelton.

Blake revealed that he is so moved by the courage and faith that Joey and Rory have shown that he wants them to win.

“The courage that they as a family have displayed — it’s inspirational. It’s sad, but it’s special at the same time,” emphasized Shelton.

Joey has been in hospice care since November, and Feek revealed that he knows he is close to the end of her life.

“I’d like to tell you that she’s doing great and is going to beat this thing. But I can’t. Yesterday with tears in her eyes and mine, Joey held my hand and told me that she has been having serious talks with Jesus. She said she told him that if He’s ready to take her … she’s ready to come home.”

As the Inquisitr reported, fans have reached out to express their love and prayers for Joey and Rory via “signing” a virtual card on Overstock.com. The duo have appreciated all that support.

Now, Overstock is honoring the Feeks and their fans by giving away copies of their new album, Hymns That Are Important To Us. The new CD is available free, subject to terms set by Overstock.

Joey and Feek have traveled a long, often painful, road together since her diagnosis with cancer. It was in October of last year that the duo, Joey + Rory, revealed that they had decided to cancel the rest of their 2015 Farmhouse Concert tour dates, reported Us Weekly.

That decision followed the announcement that Joey had chosen to end the treatment for cervical cancer. Feek revealed that she went through chemotherapy for her Stage IV cervical cancer, but physicians then discovered tumors in her abdomen.

“Sometimes there just aren’t enough surgeries — or doctors — or chemotherapies — or prayers,” shared Rory. “And you have to wipe the tears from your cheeks and say the words that you were hoping to never have to say … Enough.”

The two have been married since 2002. Their daughter Indiana was born February, 2014.
