Instagram Multiple-Account Update: IG Lets Users Add, Switch Between 5 Insta Accounts Without Logging Out [Video]
For those who love Instagram, they know how powerful of a social platform Instagram can be. But they also might know what a pain it can be to switch between more than one Instagram account in order to update each account. An Instagram user might have their personal Instagram account, and they also might have a business-related Instagram account that spills news updates, promotes products for a healthy lifestyle — or even keeps fans on track with their successful novella, doled out in Instagram-sized snippets. Now that Instagram has introduced the ability to allow their users to switch between up to five accounts without logging out of IG, the below video from the official Instagram account on Twitter is getting attention.

First, you must make sure you have the correct version of Instagram for iOS and Android, which is 7.15, according to Instagram’s instructions on how to use their new multiple-account switching feature. Then you can click on the “gear” looking icon in the top right hand corner of your profile — or the three dots in the top right-hand corner — and scroll down near the bottom to choose “Add Account” to take the steps to add a new account on Instagram. Then the above video instructions can be used to switch between Instagram accounts, after you’ve set up as many additional accounts you’d like to have on Instagram, with a maximum of five accounts to switch between.

Beyond the ability to simply add photos to other accounts on Instagram and switch between them easily, the power lies in the way that folks have been using Instagram to become social media entrepreneurs. According to Mirror, there are Instagram millionaires who are making their pretty pennies via their passions — be they fitness fanatics or Instagram models with bubbly personalities and pretty bums.
Other Instagram entrepreneurs are using the social media platform to sell their artwork and run successful companies in that manner, reports Business Insider. Those who are accustomed to scrolling through Instagram feeds — if they follow plenty of people — will no doubt come across some intrepid entrepreneur hawking waist trainers, body con dresses, hair weave, diet teas and the like. Since Instagram doesn’t allow live links within the Instagram posts, those users direct their Instagram followers and viewers to the live links in their Instagram profiles.

1. Go to your profile and tap
or
in the top right
2. Scroll down and tap Add Account
3. Enter the username and password of the account you’d like to add
To switch between accounts you’ve added:
- Go to your profile
- Tap your username at the top of the screen
- Tap the account you’d like to switch to
Note that you can add up to 5 accounts.
Prior to Instagram instituting the update that allows their users to switch between multiple accounts without logging out, those who wanted to perform such an action had to turn to third-party apps to create such a feat.
