Ryan Reynolds On The Most Romantic Thing He’s Done For Blake Lively

Ryan Reynolds is all set for the release of his latest film Deadpool, which comes out Valentine’s Day weekend. The 39-year-old attended a screening of the film this week in New York City, where he chatted with media members about the film and the most romantic thing he has ever done for his wife, Blake Lively.

In the film Deadpool, Reynolds plays a murderous mercenary who is intensely profane and not at all the romantic he has claimed to be while chatting with interviewers on the red carpet of the film’s premiere. Entertainment Tonight shares his words.

“I’ve done things where I’ve like flown halfway across the world to just see my wife for a day,” he shared, “because you’ve got to do that.”

Although the actor is set on being the romantic gentleman who won Lively over in the first place, and who he is clearly as adoring and smitten with as he was the moment they tied the knot, he admits that it’s difficult to be apart as much as the two are. Being so busy means that he hasn’t had much time to plan for this upcoming Valentine’s Day, but the actor notes that this won’t stop him from pulling off something brilliant for Blake.

“I’ve been in about 15 countries in 20 days. But I will come up with something spectacular.”

One specific portion of the actor’s latest film was in question as interviewers wondered if it may have been a sore point for Reynolds and Lively. However, the actor laughed off the suggestion that the film’s sex montage would be troubling to his wife, stating that she’s already viewed it and Blake knows all too well that scenes like that are not sexy to do.

“She knows as well as I do that these scenes are never sexy to film, they just look sexy in the movie.”

Reynolds has made it clear that Deadpool has been a project that has been close to his heart while filming and promoting it for the past month, even though his makeup for the movie scared his daughter every time she saw him in it, as People shares. The star had a part in gaining financing for the action flick that has sexy and comedic bits along with stunt scenes.

Entertainment Tonight shares a description of the soon-to-be-released film.

“The film, which balances action and intense violence with light-hearted pop-culture references, takes a few jabs at other real-life celebs, including David Beckham and Hugh Jackman, but Reynolds says the stars will take the swipes in stride.”

Ryan was sure to share how much he respects those star’s the film takes jabs at and relays his relationship with the stars.

“Hugh Jackman is a very good friend of mine, and a real sport. And I don’t know Mr. Beckham as well, I’ve met him, but I know that he also is a great sport. And nobody gets it worse than me, so let that be known.”

Reynold’s also notes that he is very similar to the foul-mouthed lead of the movie that he plays.

“Deadpool and I definitely share a beating heart.”

Reynolds is definitely excited to promote the film and for the film to hit the big screen, and he ensured to make the day of one fan in anticipation of millions of fans heading to the theaters to check the film out.

Mariah Boyle had her wisdom teeth taken out and woke up in an anesthesia-induced groggy state and under the impression that she had missed Ryan Reynold’s movie in theaters. Her mom filmed the freak-out and posted it to Facebook. Reynold’s responded to the fan with a picture of free tickets to the movie that had yet to premiere.

ET shares the post that likely made the young fans day.

“Mariah Boyle, am I the only one who thinks the tooth fairy is a giant ****ing stalker? Reynolds wrote beneath a photo of himself with cotton balls stuffed in his mouth. “I mean seriously, who leaves two tickets to the Deadpool premiere under your pillow?”
