Kris Jenner Couldn’t Define Transgender Until Caitlyn Jenner: Talks O.J. Simpson & Denies ‘KUWTK’ Exploited Kids

Kris Jenner, the famed “momager” of the Keeping Up with the Kardashians clan, can’t be accused of hiding in the shadows of her famous daughters and not-quite-as-famous son. Instead, Kris is getting an increasing amount of attention for her tell-all attitude about topics ranging from her ex Caitlyn Jenner’s transition to whether she exploited her family for fame and fortune.

Talking to Harper’s Bazaar, Jenner tackled all those topics and more while reflecting on what keeps her going strong at 60 after nine years of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Living in the gated community of Hidden Hills in California, Kris is frequently visited by her 35-year-old boyfriend, Corey Gamble. Also there when their house is under renovation are one of her daughters Kim Kardashian, along with husband Kanye West and their children (recently born Saint and North, 2).

As for Caitlyn Jenner? Kris shared that she has visited her former husband’s new house. The two were together for 23 years, before Bruce transitioned to Caitlyn.

“I was at her house last night,” revealed Jenner about Caitlyn. “And it was … nice. Little by little. Baby steps, you know?”

But Kris admits it has been challenging, saying that she turned to God for guidance.

“I think at some point, although it was difficult and, uh, a challenge … I just have to let it go. And try to be tolerant. Prayer. God. You know, just trying to understand. It takes time. But time is a wonderful healer. And we have two children together. It’s important for my kids to see our family strong and united.”

However, Jenner revealed that before she learned about what her former husband planned, she had not even know what transgender meant. In addition to not knowing the definition of transgender, she had not known anyone who was transgender.

“I never really thought about it before,” confessed Kris. “And I’d never known anyone who was transgender. I didn’t even know what the word meant. Because there’s transgender and transsexual, and…I definitely got a big education.”

But that didn’t meant that Jenner had doubts about herself, only about her relationship with Caitlyn.

“I never really doubted my femininity. I just doubted the relationship. You know, ‘What were those 20-plus years all about?’…For 20 years I could have been, you know, doing something else.’ But I really do believe everything happens for a reason,” asserted Kris.

That “reason” actually is two reasons: Kylie and Kendall Jenner, whose parents are Kris and Caitlyn. And in addition to those two daughters, Kris is close to her children as well as, now that they’re grown-up, the friends and lovers of her kids.

Jenner is open about her fondness for Lamar Odom, the estranged husband of her daughter Khloe Kardashian.

“He’s improving a little bit every day,” revealed Kris. “It’s tragic. So sad. And I love him so much. He’s the best, best, best.”

Even though Scott Disick and her daughter Kourtney Kardashian have split, Jenner proffered an invitation to her Christmas Eve dinner. But when it comes to her famous son-in-law, Kanye West, Kris is eager to share her pride.

“I couldn’t be prouder,” gushed Jenner. “One thing people don’t realize about him is, not only is he so beyond talented, but he’s also a genius. And when he’s here, he’s so present. He’s the best daddy, and the best husband. Kim is so lucky to have him.”

But it’s not all rosy, and Kris is aware of the negative feedback from those who accuse her for selling out her family for fortune and fame.

“Nooooo,” insists Jenner. “I made and created a show that my family was all on board with, and we were so excited because we got to work together.”

One question that comes up: If a man had created Keeping Up with the Kardashians, would the same attacks occur?

“I think there’s definitely an attitude when a woman accomplishes anything,” declared Kris. “But I also think people are very jealous. Or are bitter and angry about their own lives. So maybe they don’t have anything else to do but be nasty and criticize someone else.”

Moreover, Jenner believes that her fans far outnumber the attackers.

“There are so many millions of people who are great to us that I can’t worry about some idiot in Oklahoma,” added Kris. “You just have to have a thick skin and say, ‘That poor person, I feel sorry for you.'”

Jenner also recently got candid about Nicole Brown and O.J. Simpson, reported People.

Kris opened up regarding the impact of Nicole’s murder and the subsequent trial.

“[O.J. and Nicole] were two of the best friends I ever had in my entire life,” revealed Kris. “They were my family. O.J. was like my big brother. So I not only mourned the loss of Nicole, but I mourned the loss of O.J. and that relationship.”

However, Jenner also revealed that O.J. Simpson called her from jail and told her he did not kill his wife, reported Radar Online.

“I’ve talked to him a few times, he called me from jail,” said Kris in a bombshell confession.

“I didn’t do it,” O.J. told Jenner, according to her account.

Kris added that she questioned him and that they were friends. Some rumors hinted that Jenner and O.J. had an affair, even though Kris described Nicole was a friend as well.
