Harry Styles Is Free To Pursue Other Interests, What Are His Plans?
Harry Styles is free and available since the break up of One Direction, not to mention his break up with Kendall Jenner. He stressed the point he did not want to commit to a relationship at this time, because he plans to be busy with his career. He seems to be keeping at least most of his options open right now, as new opportunities start to arise. Meanwhile old ties are rapidly fading away. We gather that Kendall Jenner and Taylor Swift won’t be back, and neither will his former One Direction members.
Since Harry Styles is free of One Direction, he and other former One Direction members seem very disconnected from each other. Not a single member of the group has been to visit Louis Tomlinson or met his new son since the birth. In fact only Zayn Malik even liked baby Freddie’s birth announcement on Twitter. Hollywood Life reports that Tomlinson feels betrayed. Similarly, not one of One Direction guys attended Harry’s birthday party at the beginning of this month. Even before the split up some were speculating about the distance between them. They seemed to be growing apart. Why?

It is important to remember none of the One Direction boys had ever met before the band was created by Simon Cowell. They were complete strangers, randomly placed together. In 2010 Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik auditioned for the British television show X-Factor separately as solo acts. Simon Cowell made a 10-minute decision to toss the 5 of them together in a group for the contest. Even though One Direction came in third, Cowell arranged a Syco Records contract and released their single, “Forever Young.” The rest is history.

Harry Styles is free finally, to pursue a solo career, and has signed a recording contract with CAA’s Jeffery Azoff, according to a wide variety of reliable sources. Inquisitor has reported that Elton John has offered to tutor and mentor him in the music business. That is quite an offer, but it’s not been confirmed yet. Billboard explains Styles is also looking for just the right acting role in a movie, but the word is that he is going to be very picky about which movies. Reportedly Harry has little interest in being part of a TV series.
Now Harry Styles is free to pursue a more adult career in music and/or film, just like Zayn Malik. Is it just a coincidence that news comes just over a month before the release of the new Zayn Malik solo album, or mere days before Zayn’s release of the single “Pillowtalk?” Zayn plans to release his album, Mind of Mine, in March, exactly one year after his departure from One Direction. Styles might be thinking if Zayn can do this, why shouldn’t he give it a try?
One thing is certain though, Harry Styles is free now because he wants to make music, and he wants room to be really creative. Harry will need a lot of time, both alone and with other like minded musicians to develop a new style that is uniquely Harry Styles and no one else. He has made it clear that he did not want any sort of relationship distracting him from his musical goals. Any one he associates with will have to be supportive of his career decisions and give him drama free time to work.
Harry Styles is free to do as he pleases, and what he wants most is to evolve as a musician, without any restraints on his creativity.
