Jacob Landry Gives Fans Hope Season 7 Won’t Be The Last of ‘Swamp People’

Tonight was the big start of Season 7 of Swamp People. It has already been revealed that Season 7 will be the last of Swamp People, but fans are not accepting the news. Now, one of the cast members is giving fans hope that Swamp People could return again if things turn out right. Jacob Landry went to his Facebook page and shared that the show is coming to an end, but encouraged fans not to give up hope just yet.

This post on Jacob’s page about Swamp People actually has fans going crazy. Here is what he had to say on the post.

“Tonight is the night!!! Swamp People Season 7!!! Spread the word!! 9/8c!!! With this possibly being the last season we want to thank everyone for their support and also to the History channel for giving the rest of the world a chance to see a different way of life.”

That one word has fans of Swamp People going crazy. The fact that Jacob said “possibly” has fans thinking the show could make a return. The fans are talking to him in the comments about how they don’t want Season 7 to be the last season of Swamp People and are hopeful they are that it will come back for more somehow. Fans share that they are watching the current seasons, and even watching reruns of the show, to see if they can keep the ratings up and make History rethink the decision to cancel Swamp People.

Starcasm also shared about how Swamp People fans are hoping for another season. Jacob Landry is basically saying that everything comes down to the ratings of this show. Swamp People has been canceled, but now Jacob has given fans hope that the network could change its mind. Remember, Swamp People actually let go of a ton of fan favorites before Season 7 started.

Gator Queen Liz Chevalier, Jeromy Pruitt and David LaDar were let go from the show. Fans loved them and some even considered not watching the show without them. When Swamp People fired them, Gator Queen Liz went to her Facebook to share details.

“Due to unknown reasons by the production company ‘Original Media’. My family and myself, along with other original cast members, besides Jeromy and David, will no longer be participating in the Swamp People series, starting with [Swamp People Season 7].”

Last week, Jacob Landry also shared a post that had fans thinking Swamp People could return. He shared details then about the ratings.

“TBT. One of the big loads we caught this year!! Make sure to spread the word out the premier next Monday night!!! If the ratings are high then it may make History change their mind about making it the final season!! Spread the word!! Monday night 9/8c.”

Gator Liz shared her thoughts, though, and simply posted about the situation by only saying, “Ratings, Ratings, Ratings, Ummmm.” She doesn’t seem to believe it and since she isn’t currently on Swamp People she likely has a strong opinion about it all. A lot of her fans seem to think the show will have bad ratings without her.

Are you shocked to hear that there could be a chance for Swamp People to return? Do you think that this show could come back again? Sounds off in the comments below and don’t miss new episodes of Swamp People on Monday nights on History Channel. This is probably the last season of the show, but some fans do have hope they can find a way to save it. You never know, another network could consider picking up Swamp People.
